The house is really beautifull and very well situated to all old town landmarks and restaurants. Excellent breakfast service and a beautifull sitting room for reading or zipping down a drink

This boutique hotel is beautifully decorated. Rooms are a good size and clean. It is in a great location. Breakfast was very good with fresh juice, coffee, eggs and fruit. Good A/C in room.

There are a lot of stairs. Plus up stairs, then down stairs. So take note. They decided to close the pool at 2PM for cleaning! Bad timing, maybe next time wait until night time. The manager was not apologetic about it either

The staff was exceptional. Very helpful and willing to answer questions and help with luggage and queries.

Beautiful rooms, friendly staff. I had to leave at 7am but wasn't feeling well, and even though breakfast didn't start until 7 a wonderful staff member was able to give me coffee, fruit and bread before I left.which made me feel way better. I will stay there again.

No Kleenex in the bathroom

the location was great! right in the heart of old-town, near the clock tower. the staff were amazing! Martin was exceptional. love that our room is always made up even if it’s unnecessary to do, and they always leave treats on the table everyday. the welcome drinks were delicious, and the breakfast was great too. the spa is in the building, so that was convenient, and the pool was easily accessible. even though they didn’t have an elevator, the staff helped carry them to your room. everyone’s friendly, and beds and bathroom were clean.

we didn’t see a gym available in the property, and you can easily miss the hotel if you’re walking. also, no elevator.

Excellent proactive communication made me feel as if my arrival was warmly awaited. Staff also kept me posted on any updates/scheduled maintenance, so there were no surprises during my stay. The facility is gorgeous and conveys a unique city’s vibe. The staff was very attentive to any needs and exceeded all possible expectations. The location was super safe, which was essential to me since I was visiting Colombia for the first time.

Everything was great, just one night it was a bit noisy with some intense partying happening outside.

The location of the hotel was great, rooms were comfortable, we liked the breakfast area and nice to have a swimming pool.

The hotel notably the swimming pool area and rooms are a bit old and could use a bit of refurbishment for the standing of the hotel.

Hotel Boutique Casa del Coliseo is a lovely property with chic decor and organic touches. The staff is friendly and helpful. A lovely breakfast is provided each morning with coffee, fresh juices, fruit, bread, and choices ranging from scrambled eggs to empanadas to pancakes. The hotel is in an incredible location, easily walkable to anything in the Centro Historico and Getsemani. There is also a small but very nice pool on the rooftop to relax and refresh.

We arranged transportation from the airport to the hotel through the hotel, not knowing to expect an incredibly long customs line (3+hours). As a result the driver wanted to drastically overcharge us for the extended wait time, but the hotel did not communicate this at the time we arranged it or clearly during the wait. At checkout we learned that one of the managers did arrange a "discount" for the excessive charges, which I greatly appreciate. But having now seen how easy it is to get a taxi at the airport, I would not arrange a ride through the hotel next time.

The breakfast room and lounge were beautiful and the staff were accommodating.

There was very loud noise until 4 in the morning. The room was okay but not worth the charge.

I had a wonderful 5 days at Hotel Boutique Casa del Coliseo. The location was perfect, in the center of all of the action and easy to walk to everything. The design and decor were beautiful. The breakfasts were wonderful - delicious fresh fruits and juices and local delicacies, as well as incredible service. The room was large and quiet. The staff and service were very friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool was a bonus as well! Whether traveling alone, on a romantic trip or with family or friends, this is a wonderful place to stay.

The larger room off the street was a bit outdated and the beds could have been more comfortable, but that was a minor thing and the other rooms are updated.

Small, very noisy rooms. You could easily hear slamming doors, conversations in the neighboring rooms, stomping and furniture scraping above. Meager breakfast. Furnishings and public spaces showing wear.

Excellent location within the old town, close to everything you would need for your stay in Cartagena. Super friendly staff. I appreciated the ability to store my suitcase overnight when I went to an island

There was nothing I didn't like

The hotel is intimate and charming,especially the living room and dining room. The staff is wonderful going out of their way to help us, doing everything from providing us fruit and sandwiches in the middle of the night after my wife injured her leg in a fall while out walking, bringing in a contracted physician to check out my wife’s injured leg, buying me a new phone charger after I left mine in a hotel in another city, bringing in a lunch from a nearby restaurant, surprising us with ice cream and through it all treating us with warmth, generosity and genuine concern. Wonderful wonderful wonderful. The hotel saved what could have been a failed vacation after my wife’s fall. Plus the location allowed us to take in the spirit of Cartagena through our second floor window and the hotel is so well located that I could reach most of Cartagena’s attraction within easy walking distance.

We liked everything about it except the stairs to get up to the swimming pool

Stunning building, everything was so pretty inside. Beautiful lounge to relax in. Great breakfast options. Really good central location to explore the city.

Very noisy. My room was below a staff service room so could hear noise from above all night.
