Located on a quieter street in the walled city. Room was clean and comfortable

Unfortunately the hotel sells day passes for the pool and during our stay the main pool was completely taken over by a bachelorette party from 11-5:30. Loud music and cringey photoshoot right outside our room

The breakfast was delicious. This hotel went above and beyond to help while both of us were ill. They sent a doctor to our room within 45 minutes and then medication after another 20 minutes. They were so helpful and did not charge anything except for the medication. This is a very low key place that really jumped into action for us when needed.`

First, a general remark on apparently all properties offered in Colombia. I confirmed the quotation that said, ‘including fees and taxes’. Only after I confirmed they added VAT, and told me that if I wanted to amend or to cancel, they would charge me the full amount. That sounds like extortion. Booking.com should adjust this phrase on all properties! I also didn’t like us that already around 8 o’clock at night the hotel covers most of the chairs in the public space and they turns many lights off. And I absolutely did not like that our room had no windows. Having said all that we had a very spacious room and I came to relax and one fight over VAT sufficed.

Second time I stayed there with the first time being back in June of 2021. Beautiful property, staff was very nice, pool was relaxing, great location.

Very nice boutique hotel but on the first night I awoke to rain dripping on my face from a leak in the ceiling. It was 3 am and I just moved the bed over by 4 feet to avoid the drip but the room is not the biggest room so I almost ran out of space to re-position the bed. When I told the front desk about this in the morning they knew the room # before I told them so that tells me they were aware of the leak in this room and just chose not to fix it. That was irritating. They did move us to a nicer room for the rest of the stay and at first offered only a free lunch as a gesture of goodwill but i said that was not enough and they then gave my GF a free 1 hour massage at the spa. I thought that was fair and called it a day. Also, the breakfast was very limited in options and the buffet spread they had was not inspiring at all - and if you eat after 9 am the buffet spread looks like it was plundered by an army of men that hadn't eaten in a week. Not impressed.

Excellent service from start to finish! We absolutely loved the eco-friendly bathroom—such a great touch. The soundproof doors and windows made our stay incredibly peaceful. The staff were super nice and very accommodating—we truly felt like VIPs the entire time. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and the food at the Vedana Restaurant was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this hotel. 10/10!

Everyone was polite and called me by my name. It was nice and quiet but still close enough to the action.

Smoking is permitted in public spaces. It was extremely unpleasant at the small pool courtyard and the lunch restaurant. It’s 2025!

Location could not be better. Right in middle of historic centre, yet cool and quiet in rooms Staff delightful and so helpful

Excellent location with very helpful staff. They also assisted us in booking great tours which we made full use off. The hotel was a great price for what it was.

Breakfast was great with very helpful staff. Very limited menu choices, but all the items were good. The hotel is beautiful.

No coffee machine in the room. Ugh. This is supposed to be a 5-star hotel. Put a coffee machine in the room. Also, we splurged for the two-level junior suite. No TV downstairs. There's a couch and coffee table and two other chairs with a smaller table - just no TV. We thought this was strange. Overall, the room was nice. My wife and I each had our own full bathroom, so it all worked out.

Lovely suite and great location

The plumbing was atrocious-toilet blocked as very little pressure and the shower temperature was inconsistent

We loved charm and location of the Ananda. Our room was in the back, closer to the pool and it was very quiet . The A/C in the room was wonderful and necessary . Staff was very kind and helpful .

There was a water pipe breakage ( a city issue) but the hotel also had a water pump problem, so we had times of water loss for the first 2days. We chose not to leave because we liked our room and it all got resolved before it became too inconvenient for us. Without this issue we would have rated our stay a 10.

I had a wonderful stay at the Ananda Boutique hotel.The room was spacious and well appointed. The staff was lovely and helpful (and patient with me when I was in a rush upon check in). They also spoke English well which is always helpful.I didn't end up having time to use the pool but it looked really nice. I really enjoyed the arepa at breakfast.

The only things I can think of were that they only give you one bottle of free water, most of my hotels have given between 2-4.

From the amazing, incredibly helpful staff to the awesome location, fresh food, relaxing pool and their coordination of additional activities (helping with dinner reservations, excursions to islands etc.) this hotel cannot be beat! I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the walled city.

The attention was great and staff was kind and helpful. The facilities were beautifully kept. There is a pool perfect for refreshing during the day, and rooms on the first flor hay noise cancelling doors which was an exceptional touch.

The Hotel is a beautiful combination of traditional town houses and perfect confort. It had everything you need to enjoy your stay. Great staff, great beds, great food and walking distance from the main spots to visit in Cartagena. Will go back!!

Great location in the heart of the old city. The hotel itself is in a restored authentic villa. Having travelled to Cartagena numerous times, you really can’t get more authentic than this.

There was nothing to dislike.
