The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. And bilingual.

The rooms are pretty tiny

It's brand new so it's still a very clean, sleek hotel. The location is also very ideal if you're looking to stay close to the airport but still get a sense of being in Cartagena since it's right next to the water.

Given that it's a brand new hotel, I'm not surprised that certain things haven't been quite figured out. Most glaring error is that there are not waste bins (trash cans) in the hotel rooms. There also weren't any toiletries to shower with.

Staff not very nice and helpfull. Hotel lack of the basic supplies in the room, as hand towels, wash clothes, etc. Very poor service!!!

Clean. But spartan.

No water in the room - even for purchase, in a country where you can't drink tap water without getting sick.Time limited breakfast but no data from staff. So breakfast was not available when I showed up.Extremely expensive for Colombia for this poor level of exchange.

Location excellent and also nice security employees.

Room was ware off. Matrass was ware out and had holes. The quality of the breakfast was poor to average and from day to day different. Front desk workers did what they were supposed to do, but ware not friendly and full client minded.

Misinformation about tax refund which the hotel should not have charge me. Hotel staff said the refund can be receive back at the airport and this was not the case. Tax authorities at the airport informed me that they do not provide refund over services, only over goods.

No carpet cleaning in hallways. Key cards don’t work. Strange insect bites - had to leave this place.

The hotel receptionist should communicate the hotel policy concerning guest.

Really good food. Cleanliness in the rooms was quite good and the location next to the beach was great.

The bar is too small and the lady attending the day we were there, was not kind at all. Light in the room must be improved.

It was near the beach and it was near all the activities and clubs

The room was very small, they charged us to have company I’ve never been to a hotel where you had to pay for the room and then pay $30 additional for a guest to visit you

Near airport located in front of the sea.

Staff wanted to check my visa in addition to the passport. Not sure why they need visa. Only immigration officer can ask for visa, not the hotel.

I stayed here two years ago and really enjoyed it, which is why I came back again. And I wasn't disappointed, I had a great stay. Everything was fine. The hotel was spotlessly clean, my room was clean and smelled nice and the staff were lovely. I would like to offer thanks to Ivan and Maria in the bar/restaurant who were so friendly when they served me, and Ricky at reception who showed a great knowledge of English football! The food in the restaurant was of good quality and very reasonably priced and the service in the bar area was good. Thank you Ibis Cartagena, I hope to see you again soon.

Not so much a complaint but this puzzled me. My booking did not include breakfast. On checking in I was asked if I would like breakfast included. I replied that I would decide the following morning but was informed that this was not allowed. I either had to book breakfast for all three days or not book it at all. Other hotels will allow you to book breakfast on a daily basis throughout your stay but it was not permissible here. It wasn't a problem for me, I just had breakfast in town but I found this a bit unexpected. It didn't ruin my stay however, I have no complaints.
