Movich Hotel Cartagena de Indias

From the minute we checked in everyone was friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the 15 minute free foot massage so much we added additional minutes for a full massage. The breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Movich hotel and found the staff to be far above average. Although the spa is small the woman responsible for both the facials and the massages were absolutely amazing, we went back twice. Rooms very quiet.

One caution ¿ if you are staying on Monday or Tuesday beware that not all services may be fully available - the slow part of the week is utilized for the ¿maintenance¿ of areas like the beautiful rooftop bar.

Breakfast was good, one morning, I had to call because they forgot the breadbasket as it was missing. They were accommodating for late dinner on the 1st floor restaurant late night as the rooftop was closed.

The availability of the rooftop was an issue as both nights they had it rented. As a result, I was unable to have dinner there or experience the sunset which I was told I should experience. The noise level was too much both nights. And the room had no view. My window faced a wall.

I found that everyrhing is this property and staff was outstanding. The staff was excellent and helpful with any additional questions I had. The restaurant staff during breakfast were attentive and caring. The rooms themselves were gorgeous and clean. Anything that I needed help with was met with exceptional customer service and propriety. I would recommend this property to anyone who us looking to have a high level of care and quiet space to explore Cartagena.

Unfortunately, we were not able to stay at the Movitch. 15 days after we booked, they contacted us to say that they had a computer issue and there were no rooms for us. HOWEVER, they completely did right by us. They not only gave us a voucher to come eat at the restaurant, they also put us up in a beautiful hotel down the street and upgraded us (Charleston Santa Theresa). Thank you Movitch! We will highly recommend both of the hotels!

Location and breakfast are very good. But I've preordered a pickup from the airport, which didn't show up. I called Movich – they couldn't help me, and I hired a cab. Most of the stuff speaks only Spanish - no English. But overall, it's a good hotel.

Great room - comfortable bed, awesome air conditioning, spacious. The breakfast was outstanding! Order off a menu vs buffet. Everything was good. Staff super responsive and helpful. Great location in old city. Only drawback was the band that plays in the square are loud. But they stopped playing around 9ish. Nothing the hotel can do about it. The location of property was short walk to all the activities we did.

Perfect location in historic district around the corner from boliver square and gold museum. 2 minutes from lots of stores and restaurants. Staff very helpful. Rooftop bar was fun. Massages great and inexpensive.

Great property. Great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. They helped set up a birthday bouquet and flowers for my wife. Turned out great. Cleaning staff was thorough and helpful. Rooftop pool was my go-to every chance I had some down time.

The location of this hotel is perfect. What makes this hotel special is the staff. Special shout out to Nelson at the front desk who was amazing and went above and beyond! He helped us with all of our dinner reservations, excursions, and even helped us find a dentist for a dental emergency! Nelson, thank you for making our vacation so special and for being the absolute best!

The air conditioner was noisy and poored water in the walls, doors and floor.

Loved the location and the rooftop is great. The staff was very sweet and even had a piece of cake waiting in our room for my friends birthday!

After a couple days stay, our room developed a leak in the closet . As a result some of our clothes got wet. We reported it to front desk and requested to be moved to an upgraded room for our inconveniences. We were moved however, we were told no upgraded rooms were available. We had scheduled massages for two people and requested those to be complimented. I was told that my request was approved; however, upon checking out, both massages were being charged to my room .When I inquired about the charges, I was told that they can only remove the charge for one of the massages.I was not happy about that. That was not good customer service!

Lovely reception area and amazing breakfast. So close to the old town and the vibrant entertainment of the local dancers and bands. Lovely room and comfy bed, amazing restaurants all around. The views of the city from the roof top were amazing.

The very long wait to check in.( only 1 person on reception) The pool was shut for maintenance! ON our second night there was private party on the rooftop bar and we weren't allowed to sit anywhere other than round a corner away from anything. Very noisy!!!! Our view from the window was a wall with building work and plastic, awful.
