Hotel Regatta Cartagena

Location and staff was amazing. You?re close to the beach and the strip of restaurants and bars.

Elevators can get busy in the day and check-in hours.

The restaurant and the food were excellent. Service at the restaurant was also very good. Air conditioning in rooms also excellent, which is very important in Cartagena.

I've stayed at this hotel before and saw it had deteriorated since my last visit. Bathrooms are in serious need of upgrading from wear. Rooms smelled of mildew.

Location

Would never recommened. Had an incident with a medical emergency emergency and they were more concerned about the extra billables yo my account than the medical situation we were experiencing as family. Never stay there. Doesnt compare to USA hotel svcs.

Leaving it

This hotel is by no means in any world a 4 Star hotel, 2 stars is a stretch. No towels in the room, internet not working, over 20 year old televisions, no remote control, rude and unprofessional staff, the list goes on and on.

TV did not work when we checked in but they did bring a new one Housekeeping did not leave soap, shampoo or towels when we checked in Only one key card available. No way to lock the door from the inside. Only one outlet by the bed works

Housekeeping did not leave towels for the second day, left the dirty ones on the floor, staff did not bring new ones up after we called Toilet is ragged Window in bathroom is broken and permanently open Room 801 Specficially

It is not a 4 star hotel. Old and not remodeled.

Location

Staff not particularly friendly or helpful. Very bare rooms, no character, hardly any furniture. TV didn't work. Internet spasmodic, elevators spasmodic...

The staff is phenomenal! They don't speak any English but they are extremely friendly and try their best to understand.

I didn't care for the rooms bathroom and the elevator took forever. They do not have wash cloths in the bathroom.

I did not like it . It only has location . Taxi drivers told me they sold it and since that is terrible . All guest are unssatisfied .

No towels , not clean , slow check in . The rooms terrible .

The best thing about this hotel is the two pools and proximity to the beach.

Reception staff was unfriendly, room was a concrete square with missing kitchen, two folding chairs for seating options, an A/C unit that barely worked, broken door that only locked on occasion or after manual adjustment, slow elevators, outdated small TV

Location was great. breakfast delicious. Bed very comfortable. And great view if you get ocean view room.

Bathrooms need updating. Armbands they give you peg you as a tourist - killing any possible negotiations at the souvenir stands. Would not classify this as 3 1/2 stars.

The hotel restricts guests to one visitor throughout the stay. So my friends and family who came to celebrate my birthday with me couldn?t come to spend time with me in my room.

Definitely NOT a 4 star hotel, therefore advertised rating is very misleading & disappointing! Will not stay there again!

Nothing there to like, unless I had booked a 2.5 star rated hotel as this was far from a 4 star.

They had a huge living room with no furniture.

The beds ? pillows were hard floor wasn’t clean !! Had to use my slippers!! Ask for the iron board and it was broken need maintenance to check on these things missing a screw on the ironing board

The property was ok, the breakfast was good.

Free breakfast and they check and scan everyone ID who comes into the hotel.

Nice size, table to eat at, couch in room, beach view, A/C was cold. Location was ok.

List of things that were horrible and the reason this hotel should be avoided.1. No linen in the room x 3 hours after check in and after 3 calls to the front desk. I finally took it upon myself to find some. I stopped on every floor looking for the cleaning lady and got it myself.2. The toilet flushing handle fell through the lid and into the water reservoir. I had to repair it myself (temporarily). It kind of works.3. The towel ring fell off the wall as soon as I put the towel on it.4. The drain in the shower is not connected and when the shower turned on and it moved, there was just a hole in the floor. This also occurred with the drain near the toilet.5. The internet will not make it through a show without spinning constantly. I also could not use the internet on my phone. I am currently burning through my mobile service, which i had to pay extra for.6. The room service food was disgusting. It was cold and tasted liked it had been sitting out for a long while before we got out.7. The water pressure in the shower is almost a drip and barely lukewarm. It took me 15 minutes just to get the shampoo out of my hair.8. No beach access. The entire area is walled off. You must walk about 1/4 mile to get to the beach.

Not much , maybe location is ok.

The room I was assigned didn't match my booking description, the room is very run down. The floor tile is cracked. the window can't be opened, and the staff knew little English.

Small pools
