Hotel Barlovento

Location is excellent very clean rooms.

The service is not friendly at all. All they do is instruct you on their rules. Zero hospitality.

The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is located very close to many restaurants, shops and the beach. The pool has a bar with food and drinks. Breakfast was tasty with many options. Would definitely stay again.

The pool was very refreshing & the staff were extremely friendly.

The sheets felt almost wet because of the dampness in the room. The problem was so bad it would make me rethink booking this room again. Other than that, the room appeared to be brand new.

Nice hotel, staff friendly and helpful, clean place, very good location, it has a 24 hrs supermarket beside the hotel many restaurants around, exchange houses, tours agency, souvenirs shop, etc. Very safe area for tourist, very good choice to stay when you travel to Cartagena

Big and clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast and amazing location.

The only problem was the noise coming from the air conditioning that the only way of stopping was turning it off.

The room was comfortable and clean. As a solo female traveler I felt really safe. Staff were very kind and helpful.

Similar to other accommodations I stayed in Colombia, the shower could be hotter. Cartagena’s hot weather makes up for it, though.

I loved the location. It had a supermarket across the street. Short taxi ride to airport and la bodeguita.. hotel was clean and well taken care of. Always smelled nice. The restaurant had good affordable food. The free breakfast was excellent. They have Netflix.the staff was kind and very professional

Location was fine. The room was clean.

First of all, this hotel is a bit overrated. Breakfast is poor, pool is extremely small.The reception was very weird. I arrived 20 mins before the check in, they asked me to wait. I accepted and waited even though I was sure that the room was ready at 14:40. I filled up the forms and waited only for 5-6 mins at the lobby. When I returned sharp at 15:00, the receptionist checked his watch to confirm. This was really a ridiculous behavior. I was already very tired, it was like mocking me. I found it really unfriendly and unnice.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Barlovento, which came recommended by a friend. I arrived earlier than expected, and the reception team was incredibly polite and accommodating, helping me arrange an early check-in (for a small additional fee, which was absolutely worth it). They even allowed me to enjoy breakfast that morning, which was a great bonus.The location is perfect, surrounded by cozy coffee shops, local stores, and beautiful beaches. It’s set in a quiet area, and many rooms offer views of the ocean. While it feels tucked away from the noise, the city center is still very accessible, making it an ideal choice if you prefer a more peaceful stay with convenience.The overall amenities were excellent. I especially appreciated the breakfast and the pool, both of which made the experience even more enjoyable. While the hotel didn’t have partnerships with local gyms or shops, it didn’t take away from the experience at all. I would definitely stay there again!

Good breakfast and it starts early (6:30 AM)!

The water undergoes pressure oscillations during showers, which makes it go from very hot to cold. Seems like a structural problem of the building. The guest has no control over room temperature, it is preset to 21 decrees celsius during the night and up to 23.5 degrees during the day, which makes the room really hot at times.

The staff on site were always very friendly and helpful and could never do enough. There was always somebody to welcome us as we came in and as we left and further more, they came and greated us outside as the uber dropped us off. Staff found me a quite to work during early hours (4am) and brought me coffee to help make the work easier during these unsociable hours

It is unusual for me to say this but the only thing I didnt like which all hotels do is wrap the sheets on the bed so tight which is really nit picking at best

Very spacious room with a massive bed and good shower. Breakfast was good but not a lot of variety. Good location with lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
