Pros +
- Great location and the atmosphere. The decor is colorful and relaxing. Room is basic, but I wasn't expecting a Marriot. And the staff was very friendly
- It's an older hotel but lots of character. Each floor had gathering areas that felt homey and comfortable. This is not a backpacker's place but a place for a bit older crowd. Room was basic but had everything you need.
- The location was trendy a lot of restaurants and bars in walking distance.
Cons -
- I think there is a shift change around 3am, which was noisy. If that isn't the case, then there were some very enthusiastic guests, which was very possible.
- 9 pm quiet hour was a bit early. The gathering spaces were ideal to meet and hangout but 9pm for Cartagena was way too early.
- The room had an issue with small ants.

Location is convenient. It’s clean.
The mattress, a little bit hard.
+ The staff is very friendly and helpful. We ran into a few problems (see the negatives), and they were dedicated to providing solutions. They went beyond what can be expected from a hotel staff and were always very nice. + The breakfast was good, but is served in a restaurant a few meters down the street, so you need to get out. The restaurant offers you a decent choice of breakfast options (it's not a free buffet), and they are quite good and belly-filling, but the service is terribly slow. + The street is closed to the historical center (five-ten minutes walk) and close to a supermarket. + Free coffee in the lobby is always appreciated.+ The air conditioning worked perfectly. + Overall clean.+ The place feels very secure. We could leave our luggage on the last day with confidence. + Wi-Fi was pretty good.
- We had a problem with a plug in the room that had been condemned and covered with a plastic thingie, but one of the screw to hold the thingie in place was in contact with the former plug. Our 18-months daughter touched the screw (we had no idea what it was then) and received an electric shock. The issue was fixed the following day, but it should never have happened. - The room was very small (a 3-adult room), with no windows. - The sink was poorly attached to the wall, and we always feared holding onto it, as it looked like it could have fallen. - The soap carrier in the bathroom was not functioning and if you put anything on it, it would fall apart (not a big deal but it does contribute to the overall feeling of shakiness). - There was a missing battery in the remote control of the TV, and when we switched batteries between remote controls to turn off the TV, it didn't work anyway (again, not a big deal).
AC worked perfectly for us, staff was always at the desk available, and the place was in the heart of jetsemani walking distance from the wall city. I valued these features very much.
The ‘’kitchen’’ they offer wasn’t nice at all, all opposite. It was super dirty and lacked organization, it is really not possible to cook there. It was located at the top side of the building, so it is very hard to spot unless you go all the way upstairs. I needed a spoon at some point so I went there and that is how I realized the status of it. I hope management reads this to improve it. Not a big deal for my stay, since I wasn’t planning on cooking anyways.
Good stay ! Nothing to complain.Clean and organized. I checked in at 1 am and the reception was open and functioning
Location was nice… right on the main drag of Getsemani and a five minute walk to the walled city. Breakfast was right down the road in one of the neighboring restaurants.
Location close to the center.
Problem with wifi, maybe due the easter - so much people in the city center.
Worse home to stay for a night. The room I booked was not what they give me. No air conditioning, No balcony, No windows,
Lovely private space of a hotel but has a rooftop area and small kitchen area to cook like a hostel. Staff were extremely helpful in dealing with a situation that we had. Our third floor room was much better than our second floor room, had a more reliable air conditioning unit and shower.Bed was comfy and towels provided. As it’s a hotel perhaps not as social for solo travellers but this wasn’t an issue for us!also provided free coffee by reception during the day.
Be careful when exiting the property at night. Do not turn right and wander down the poorly lit area (should go without saying for tourists). If you turn left and follow the nice, well lit and busy streets you won’t have an issue.
First of all the staff is incredibly kind and attentive. The hotel is close enough to all the fun that Getsemani neighborhood offers ( restaurants, bars, salsa music dancing etc. ) yet far enough from the noise of these places. The hotel includes breakfast at their restaurant next door and the food is generous and delicious. The owner is always on site and she will stop to talk to you, to ask you how is your stay. Friends and families can take advantage of their great deals on multiple beds rooms, I Highly recommend this hotel. Thank You guys for the great service you provided during my stay. Nice and helpfully staff! Towels, air conditioner. Good location, lot of restaurants.
No window, too old building. I wisited the Coffee region, Cocora Valley and Medellin. Catagena was my last city in Colombia and Cartagena is absolut different. This is a caribic city what I didn't know and I was disappointed. Too hot and smelly and dirty. The vendors are violent. Restaurant prices are randomly higher than on the menu, not an honest attitude. This is not the hotel's fault. The Caribbean feel didn't come through.
It worth the money but was not the clearest one
One of the bad experience I had was when I asked a guy for help to go to island, a guy called Oscar directed me to a tour which was so bad, the tour over charged me and it was really bad quality for high price, I don’t know if the reception knew about it but I expected more trustworthy recommendation from the hotel
Great location in the old city
Can be noisy and the room was a bit smelly.
Its location and the style.
No windows except into the exterior hallway. There was also construction so it was noisy
Great location Air conditioning - really needed as it can get very hotNice staffFree coffee available at the receptionNice common area in the reception but also at other floors - with chairs and so to relax and gather if you like
Lot of noise early in the morning due to maintenance happening in the building .
Great location in Getsemani and able to walk to most central places within 15 minutes. Free coffee in reception.
Staff not friendly. Loud construction works and terrace not useable. Small and loud rooms on reception level.
The staff were super friendly, it was a great location and security was very high at the accommodation too
WiFi dropped out once or twice. No other complaints
Location is good
Charged my credit card multiple times. They even tried charging my card 2 weeks after I checked out. Mold all over the room . Way too expensive for what it is .
