Hotel Santa Cecilia B&B

Hotel employee is in a great location for entertainment and nightlife in Cartagena. The room was clean, spacious with a very comfortable kingsize bed. The shower/bathroom was adequately large and very clean.

The entrance to the hotel requires knocking on the front door and then you must walk up a flight of stairs to get to the lobby. A minor nuisance for the value offered. ALL in ALL, the hotel employeeis a very good value.

The location was certainly good. Walking distance to the centre. Room was comfortable.

Breakfast was inconvenient and disappointing. There’s no buffet, only a short menu you have to order from, and the food was very bland. Service was painfully slow.Don't expect amenities in this hotel. Only a room to sleep in.

Only complaint is that My bathroom shower door didn't close, the hotel didn't have many guest, but they put me in the room with a broken shower door..I had to use my foot to keep it closed

Exceptionally clean and modern facility. Over and above staff, notably Fernando, Jennifer, and David. Just exceptional people.

Because of the building envelope it simply isn’t possible for all, or most rooms, to have windows, certainly windows with views.

We have a great stay. The facility and rooms were as described, nice, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is located close to the main attractions ( 5 minutes walk to La Torre del Reloj). It is safe to walk at night. Despite being noise outside, you can sleep without hearing the loud parties outside.

I think there is some room for improvement regarding juices options for breakfast.

Beautiful room. Very clean. So comfortable. Great ac. Great location away from some of the noise in Getsemaní but very walkable. Right on water.

Property was lovely my only feedback is that I had discussed a room with the hotel that would have a pull out couch. When we arrived that wasn’t an option unfortunately and the desk staff didn’t know what I was talking about. We made it work but that bumped the score down a point.

Overall is a good place to stay, is very well located, just within walking distance from the Ciudad Amurallada, and in the heart of Getsemaní. The rooms were confortable and spacious enough. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The bedrooms we stayed in did not have windows to outside, only to a central hall. Because of this there was a strong humidity smell in one of the rooms. Having some natural ventilation would be nice.

Staff was incredibly sweet and attentive, and after a week of staying here, they became so much more friendlier. They helped with luggage and suggestions for food. They offered breakfast in the am, and it was delicious! It's a small menu, but it had so many options. The morning view from the dining area is nice. We were close to everything and pretty much walked everywhere. It was clean and quiet and we enjoyed our time here.

Our first room, Room 301, although on the main floor (which is technically the 2nd floor), had a very fowl odor of mold. It was also very noticeable on the walls and ceiling. I ignored it for a few days, we went to Medellin and came back to it and couldn't handle it. When I spoke to them, they claimed it was our fault because we left and the ac was off, but I had left it on. The bathroom in 301 has very little ventilation and a tiny window, so leaving the door open is key. I will say that after speaking to the supervisor and the concierge, they made the plans to move us to a way nicer room. A bigger one at that. My wife and I were so happy, and I'm glad they didn't hesitate to help.

very poor breakfast

The hotel was overbooked so they couldn’t honor our reservation. However they did find us a hotel to stay in. The instructions was not super clear but it was sorted out. They did not charge me and I paid for the new hotel. They covered the taxi to the other hotel.

Room war large and clean but had not window. Sort of annoying was the charge for additional breakfast - I wanted additional fruits and toats and I had to pay for 2 breakfasts! that is new to me.

Breakfast

- Good location, felt safe as you need to be buzzed in to access the B&B. - Room was clean.- Francisco, the night front desk attendant, was friendly.

- There is no elevator, be advised!- Bathroom is very small, no water pressure in the shower and it was leaking once turned off, you could hear it at night.- Breakfast needs improvement especially if you are staying multiple days: no tea available, they were out of items in a daily basis, not much variety. - Also they only give you 1 key card per room. - Wifi is free but VERY slow and spotty.

We had nice and pleasant stay, the room we had was big enough with large bed and sofa.

We had room without window, it always better to wake up with natural light, so avoid that if possible.

Everything! Is perfectly located and the staff is amazing. The breakfast on top always!

A Pool or something similar is really a missed opportunity.

Breakfast only till 930, while booking said till 10.00. This is how I missed the breakfast.

the site was excellent and the staff were cooperative and the hotel was clean and calm . The breakfast was delicious, the only problem is that the internet was weak and didn't reached the upstairs well, also the drinks were overpriced.

The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.

The staff could have helped out a bit more especially when the WiFi did not work. The manner in which the receptionist handled the issue was a bit rude. Finally after getting it checked out the third time, it worked. However, the same person was generally helpful during the rest of the trip to be fair. A good stay overall.
