    • The location, the restaurant, and other Services.
    • Iconic hotel in the old city of cartagena . The room was wonderful. Clean , comfortable and spacious. .guest services helped me with transportation to an event in Baru. Everything went great . Great Breakfast
    • Great breakfast, location and facilities

    Cons -

    • The mattresses are old, worn out, and beaten up. They should consider renewing the mattresses. I ended up with a backache after sleeping there five nights.
    • Extremely strict check-in time, not even an opportunity to get in 30 mins before
    • Don’t have anything bad to say.

Fantastic experience. I’ve traveled to Cartagena on and off over the last 20 years. I normally stay at the Santa Clara. This is our first stay at the Santa Teresa and we will definitely be staying again.

It’s a lovely old colonial building and they’ve done the most they can to try and make it comfortable for modern standards, but it does look tired in places. The rooftop is wonderful with a great large pool a fantastic view of the ocean, bocagrande and sunsets. The location is great, we walked everywhere in the walled city and Getsamani for tourism & dining.Breakfast and dinner is exquisite with the open roof and breakfast is fantastic (but slow for eggs).

We had were no hot water, every shower we took was cold. When splashing out on the king room with balcony it was quite surprising. Despite it being hot most days I didn’t want a cold shower every time!Everything (all prices) excludes service, where a small bag of laundry ended up costing an eye watering $220, despite us asking them not to iron (triple the price). The service is also very slow everywhere in the hotel (usual in Cartagena to be fair) but the service was less friendly than other hotels we stayed in, especially bar staff. For dinner there’s much better value for money and luxury all within a 5-15m walk away

Breakfast was excellent, great choices of fruit, eggs, omelettes, bread types, and juices. I have to give a HUGE thank you to the concierge Estefani! She went above and beyond. She helped book 2 boat tours at the last minute. More importantly, she helped me navigate some airline issues.

There was a nightclub that played pounding music which we heard in the middle of the night. We asked for a dehumidifier to drown out the base of the music.

I really loved this hotel. The staff was great and very helpful. The hotel was historic and beautiful but the rooms were very modern and updated. The location was ideal for exploring the old city. It was heavenly to sit at night on the front plaza and enjoy the sea breeze. The food was all excellent.

    It was perfect

Food was amazing. The staff was nice. Location was great! Loved it!

Maybe add an accent rug to finish tying up the beautiful rooms elevating the aesthetic of the room and creating some comfort on your feet when getting up from bed. Just a comment.

Great location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and very clean property.

The rooms are not soundproof. The noise from the restaurant can be heard past 1am. The door was thin and did not close properly.

Disappointing Stay at a 5-Star. Musty Smell & Uncomfortable Beds recently stayed at this hotel, which I had high expectations for given its 5-star rating. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I anticipated, and I felt compelled to share my feedback. First and foremost, the most overwhelming issue was the strong, musty mildew smell in our room. From the moment we walked in, the odor was incredibly noticeable, and it made it difficult to feel comfortable. I understand that older buildings can sometimes have issues with humidity, but for a 5-star hotel, this should have been addressed long ago. The smell lingered throughout the entire stay, despite trying to air out the room and use the air conditioning. Another major downside was the bed was surprisingly uncomfortable. The mattress felt worn out, and there was little to no support, making it difficult to get a good night sleep. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected much better quality and comfort in the room furnishings. I really hope the management addresses these concerns. Until these issues are resolved, I can't recommend staying here, especially if you're looking for a comfortable, pleasant experience for a high price.

Excellent seevice.cudos to front desk agent Yarledis.she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great.a small hiccup with our room due to construction issue, she attended to us personally arranging various choices of rooms for us.always a smile and greeting! Also the waitstaff in all the restaurants were outstanding. Service in general was amazing.we will definitely visit again.

Beautiful building in a classic style to fit with the heritage area. Great people, great service, great location good pool and rooftop area

This is a beautiful and well located building it’s a landmar for the city and had always dreamed of staying at this hotel, the ocean view was amazing and the staff did a great job

Honestly the price and service and quality didn’t match, the hotel seems to be outdated overall from the Ac which didn’t worked at first they changed of room but the other room had similar issues, sounds units and overall the furniture, appliances and hotel in general seems to be stacked on time, with all the options and competition there is today in Cartagena I don’t think I would come back to this hotel, she is the highest in price and the quality doesent seems to be there.

Beautiful property, gorgeous rooftop pool and bar/restaurant, delicious breakfast and dinner, and extremely courteous, helpful staff. We attended a wedding in the hotel also, and it was truly amazing perfection.
