The rooms, very dated and require a much needed renovation and upgrade. Not sure how it’s rated a 5 star? Not worth the money. Food quality needs a much needed upgrade

Great location, extremely courteous and responsive staff. We had a medical emergency and the staff was so responsive they got the medicines arranged in the dead of the night as well.

The Premium Palace Suite could have been better, found the cheaper Deluxe Room actually better in terms of view (faces the lake and mountains) and finishing since it is a new construction.

The roomWe were given , the flush wasn’t working and then they repaired it and the flush wasn’t working again . Then they had to move our rooms to the other side which was very old ! In general also the rooms are very run down and the staff doesn’t accommodate to all your requests

TV was terrible. Very limited channels. WiFi was not so good. Kept going out quite often.

The location is excellent with close proximity to the Dal lake & other prominent landmarks. The brightest part is the restaurant staff especially Walsrino,Shristi, Chef Sudarshan, Jasudev. They are all doing an excellent job & going the extra mile to ensure that each & every one is well attended at the restaurant.

The reception staff seem to be in a different zone of their own. They should rather be smiling & welcoming guests. The spa service is the worst we have experienced in any five star properties. After checking in, my wife had booked hair treatment services for the 3rd day of stay but surprisingly when we had called them on the third day for the service then we were told that the salon was closed for that day. It would have been nice had we been informed earlier.

Breakfast location great. Staff at BF area were very friendly and helpful. Sahil's performance was great. Ideal would be he starts at 8AM, as we missed two days his perf, as we had to leave at 9AM.

Bathroom (especially shower area cleanliness. In room there was only one bathrobe kept though we were two persons. Selection of coffee & other facilities could be improved in the room.

I liked everything about the hotel. The location is breathtakingly beautiful. Staff is friendly and courteous. The stay was very comfortable. Super clean. Restaurant n the Food was very good. Will definitely stay again.

Our stay at the Lalit Grand Palace was truly special. Right from the time we arrived at the hotel till we reached the airport. The team at Lalit Srinagar did everything and beyond to make our stay safe, comfortable and delightful. The things that stay with you are the warmth and hospitality of the entire team be it security, room service, restaurant or reception teams including the chauffeurs. The location is amazing, just a stone throw away from Dal Lake and hosted in a palace with beautiful spacious rooms. Food is great too.

Majestic property with impressive palatial settings and mind blowing lawns and view. but that is not enough right! avoid hotel taxi and book a cab using jugnoo Taxi. for details read below.

This hotel is little bit off from the main roads and attractions and hence you have to depend on a cab. This is where it gets interesting. Since all the guests have to depend on a means of transportation, there is a group operating in the premises under the full knowledge of the hotel transport and logistics supervisor who are taking advantage of this situation to their benefits. if you ask the hotel to arrange a cab they charge you exorbitant amount. for a day trip to the attractions they were asking above 5000 INR and for a dinner in town they were asking 1500, to and fro with a wait time of 2 hours. I contacted my friends from Kashmir and they suggested to use the local uber like app which is called Jugnoo Taxi. I booked a cab through the app to goto the restaurant in town and the charges shown was 135 INR. The car came to pick us up and and we were leaving the hotel, two guys who seems to be the drivers of taxis who were operating under the group I mentioned they stopped the car in the road and started questioning the driver. The driver was explaining that he picked up the order from the app. I did nt like the fact that we were stopped by them in thugs style in the middle of the road, while I am still within the hotel property and I intervened and told them I booked this cab through the app. they insisted that I show them my mobile, and I had to just to convince them. I asked them what is the problem and they said I have to take the cab from the hotel only. I told them, I dont have to and I have the right to order a licensed taxi and it is my choice not to accept to book a taxi through the hotel. it was quite evident they were all scamming the hotel guests with the knowledge of the staff from the hotel. It is such a shame that a well known brand like Lalit would allow such a behaviour within their property targeted at their own guests.I am not expecting the usual apology from the hotel quoted in sugary words :) , I dont need it. because I am not coming back

Disappointing

Room assigned to us was bad and we had to fight the lm to get it changed. They also did not extend the chk out time even by 30 minutes. We were sitting at the reception after chk out with not a soul in sight and could not understand why they will be this unfriendly. Will never go back

Property is huge with beautiful gardens and centrally located. Room had a lovely view was big in size and very comfortable

Location and service by the staff was beyond par. Breakfast was decent.

Some of the food items, like Pasta and Pizza were not so great. Bfast options could be improved.
