I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sur La Mer in Ashdod. It exceeded our expectations—great value for money, very friendly and welcoming staff, and an exceptionally comfortable bed. The wonderful Ashdod beach was just in front of the hotel. Parking always available. I would definitely stay here again

Very clean. The hotel manager is very kind. I was given a room with a terrible cigarette smell, the room was changed immediately without any problem. Is there a kitchenette in the hotel that can be used to prepare light mealsThere is a supermarket across the road

The staff is always present every where and every time. There is no privacy. There is a pub under the hotel that works at night. If you take a room with a balcony overlooking the sea, you also receive the pub's guests until the end of the night.

One of the best places I've been to in a long time,, the staff were extremely friendly and the rooms are large and clean. The location is fantastic, just cross the street and you're on the beach. There are several restaurants, a supermarket and nightlife all within a 5 minute walk.

This is our fourth stay at Sur La Mer.Being so close to the beach is a real plus.The staff members are extremely attentive, making sure we have everything we need. Since the hotel is small, there is a family atmosphere. We felt very much at home.

We liked everything.

Friendly staff. I like that hotel was providing coffee, milk, and snacks 24/7 (in a lobby). Beds were comfortable (blankets were in duvets, which I loved). Room had refrigerator and eclectic cattle. Hairdryer was provided upon request as well as extra towels.

Parking was challenging and not free. To pay via parking app you must have local phone number (we purchased sim cards at the airport). The "free" parking was further than a parking lot right in front of the hotel and never available due to the fact that it was shared space with nearby houses. It didn't feel safe to leave our vehicle there (if we would be able to find a parking spot). Room was not as clean as we would hope and a little bit outdated. Shower was constantly leaking on a floor (we had a bathtub, but the glass portion of a wall was too small/short to keep water from spilling). We purchased paper towels and were using them to absorb extra water). Room needed more sitting arrangement: we had one small chair for 3 people. Microwave would be beneficial at least in a lobby.

The hotel is nicely located near the beach and several restaurants. The room was more than ample for our needs with all the required accessories. Outside the room in the hall were located coffee and tea, cakes and cookies and soft drinks all neatly cared for and displayed. The staff was excellent and kind. A very good hotel with excellent staff and thought behind the fixtures and cleanliness of the entire place. Very highly recommended!

Everything was fine.

It was a huge storm when we arrived. We had come for the beach - but it was simply awesome sitting on the porch and watching the waves.. Worth every penny to get a porch with a view.

Proximity to beach was excellent. Some personnel didn’t speak English, but the person on the phone was very helpful.Breakfast was good, but could be better.

The shower curtain could be longer to stop water spilling out. Strong box was tiny and remained locked all the time. The bed could be more comfortable.

The location, the room size, the bed quality and the staff were top notch. You have water, coffee, milk, small snacks and more readily available and good quality.

Wish there was some kind of parking arrangements even if paid. Using the application every day and every time you park is not the best experience.In my room I wish there was a better location for the air conditioner, it blows over the bed and you have to chose between sleeping hot and sleeping cold with a sneaz in the morning.

Location was amazing across the seaExactly what our family needed not the pressure to get up for breakfast but yet get your coffee and baked goods or yogurt. For an extra treat there was snacks during the day. Perfect for our family to have a dining room area to eat take out dinner.The place was home away from home.We got the vacation feel with the comfort homey feeling.

If you’re looking for a great hotel in the prime location in Ashdod, don’t look any further. Sur La Mer is a cosy home away from home. They anticipate every need and provide you with everything before you even ask! The hotel is just a few yards away from the beach and near great restaurants and markets. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The staff are so accommodating. We were across the street from the beach, and they were so kind to give us extra towels for the beach and beach chairs! We loved that there were fresh, sweet rolls, snacks, and coffee for us in the lounge. There was plenty of room in our hotel room, and plenty of the travel size shampoos and such for us to use.

As a recommendation for them, thank you for the extra towels, but maybe a large laundry basket to drop our used sandy beach towels in.

Location was excellent. The staff were lovely. The room was quite roomy.

The property was advertised as including breakfast, but in reality there was only excellent coffee and some sweet pastries. That was somewhat disappointing. In our experience, properties in this price range always offer a full Israeli breakfast. Additionally, the bed was too firm and the amenities were not pampering.
