Free taxi to/from airport. Staff, room, breakfast on the balcony, pool, tropical grounds, and restaurant.

Nothing, was perfect.

All up we had a very enjoyable stay at Poppies. It was our oasis away from the very busy streets and lanes of Kuta. Staff very friendly and always had a welcoming smile. Would recommend Poppies to anyone looking for a quiet piece of Bali hevan.

Nothing - all was fantastic

The staff were exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. Top notch service from wonderful people. The property is stunningly gorgeous, we first came here 36 years ago and were afraid maybe the place would have become worse- but absolutely not, we absolutely loved as much or more than 36 years ago!

There was nothing to dislike!

Best place to stay in Bali. You have your own little cottage. The facilities are also good. This is one of the old hotels of Bali, and they have maintained it very well. The amenities are perfect. They are also doinh green for the environment.

I liked everything

Spacious room with beautiful bathroom, large comfortable bed, cold AC, a giant delicious breakfast (seriously, we could only eat half of what they brought us, and it was varied and excellent), and nice location right in the thick of the overcrowded tourist area but on a side street so it's a peaceful oasis amidst the chaos. The food at the restaurant was incredible as well, the satay was really delightful. On top of that we needed to go to our storage unit and not the airport upon checkout and since they were close to each other we were offered free transportation and the driver met us right in the parking area - no need to drag our luggage anywhere.

It's a bit difficult for some drivers to get to due to the narrow road and some construction and they asked to meet us on the corner, which is a very short walk. For transportation of luggage to and from the airport though it is arranged by Poppies so the drivers absolutely get you right to their door and your luggage is whisked to your room without you having to lift a finger. I might skip the signature Pina colada at the restaurant, it was cute but more for show and pricey. One person at your table should get it to laugh and take pictures but not everyone.

The location can't be beat. It was easy to explore Kuta. I loved the tiny touches of convenience such as the included room service breakfast to accommodate early departures. Wished I could have stayed longer.

Everything except the location.Almost everything was great.

The location.The way to the hotel was very narrow, almost like an alleyway allowing just one four wheeler. We had a hard time finding the exact way to the hotel even with our guide.

Beautiful small hotel in the heart of Kuta. Exceptional staff who practice the superb art of Balinese hospitality. Nothing, and I mean nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are traditional Balinese design and the pool and gardens just beautiful. Poppies restaurant, a stones throw away, lived up to it's reputation.

Staff are amazing and the property is an oasis of tranquility in the chaos of Kuta. Would stay there again, the pool area is beautiful and relaxing. The BEST part of the day is the breakfast! truly 5 star breakfast. There's parking available for motorbike which I had rented. Don't be discouraged by the narrow alley to get to the hotel.

Perfect hideaway in the chaos of Kuta city. Once you enter the great door of the resort you forget about all the noise and traffic in Kuta. Nice breakfast which they offer at your house or in the famous poppies restaurant just across the street.

Poppies was an idyllic and quaint hotel that inbound stay in again. The individual bungalow-style rooms were comfortable and spacious, with the outdoor bathroom being a fantastic surprise. The grounds were lovely and invited you to linger and enjoy. The location is a short walk to Kuta's beachwalk. My stay included a fantastic breakfast, which I chose to have delivered to my room and ate on my veranda. The staff were kind and helpful. Would stay here again.

Truly nothing.

The location was fine, the grounds were very nice. Everything was clean. Service was excellent. We stayed for one night before we flew out and the location re airport was excellent.

The rooms felt a tad dated. It was okay.

An Oasis in the heart of bustling Kuta. Honestly you would not know you were in a noisy, busy city at all. Poppies is quiet and peaceful, comfortable and relaxing. Close to the airport (with free transfer), large room in beautiful gardens, with a gorgeous pool and just across the road the most magnificent restaurant. Take the breakfast option if you can - it's a feast!

It can be a bit of a challenge getting around the streets outside of Poppies but that's not anything they can fix!

We loved Poppies so much in 2024, we just had to come back again this year. We were picked up from the airport by Gede, and were given the room we asked for, same as last year, complete with a welcome back bouquet. Staff at the hotel and restaurant were lovely, breakfast always good, the pool absolutely perfect, and the whole experience is one of serenity, good service and style, while nicely understated and unpretentious. Just what we love in a boutique hotel. Oh, and the pool is simply stunning.

True Balinese spirit and lush beauty

A hidden jewel in the heart of Kuta, one of the few still left. I hope they stay as such for many years to come, most have already disappeared, becoming look alike facilities with not very happy looking staff

Location was bliss, in the chaos of Kuta lies Poppies sanctuary. Close to good food, beach and the hustle & bustle, but a great place to retreat to after a day out. Loved our accommodation, the villas and outdoor bathroom.

Everything was great. Some people might say the pool is outdated but it suited us just fine.

This was a four month round the world trip. Poppies was the BEST place I stayed in. Located in a lane (named after the accommodation), so a really quiet location, but just five minutes walk into the centre of Kuta and ten minutes to the seafront. Numerous cafes, restaurants, bars and shops within a short walk. A collection of bungalows set in extensive lush gardens. Spacious room, very comfortable, outside seating area. Large and very attractive, and ornate, bathroom. Everything in the bungalow, and the site, done to perfection. They have a restaurant just along the lane, which predates the accommodation. Good breakfast, either in your room (preorder in the evening), or in the restaurant. Swimming pool in the garden, a focal point. Friendly and helpful staff. They can organise transport and tours.

It is slightly off from the main road, but easy to get around to everywhere. Short walk to the beach, shopping mall, and pubs. Nicely peaceful property, very private. The breakfast is very nice, pool is lovely, every thing was perfect.
