Jali Resort - Gili Trawangan

Clean and comfortable, excellent service and caring for the guests, excellent breakfast, very nice and long swimming pool, convenient and quiet location, excellent restaurant ( one of the best on the island ). We loved it so much! This will be our first choice when we come back to Gilis.

We missed them greatly after we moved to another hotel!

Very good beds, many conveniently placed outlets, good water pressure, excellent restaurant, staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. They made me feel welcomed. Location is just right between west and east beaches. They have available bikes for rent on a daily basis. Will definitely come back.

The staff were absolutely perfect — always helpful, friendly, and proactive. They gave great suggestions, arranged things for us when needed, and made sure we felt taken care of. I’d rate the staff 10+!

I loved the restaurant, breakfast, and that they provide fresh juice upon arrival and at breakfast. In addition the hotel is quiet for sleeping. A/C is amazing.

The pool got absolutely no sun, it’s not a hotel to relax by the pool. The staff are immature obnoxious and rude. The sheets and towel have stains all over them. It’s a bit far from the central part of the island. If you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night you will be going outdoors.

Amazing staffs, all very proactive people. Room espacious and always clean. Amazing food.

We loved every minute of our stay. The staff were so attentive. I asked for a bottle of wine to be put in the room for my daughter’s birthday and they put in a piece of cake with a candle and set it all up beautifully whilst we were having breakfast. Great location. The beach was nearby. Breakfast was great every day and the restaurant serves great food at other times. The rooms were comfortable and we loved the outdoor bathroom. They provide a snorkel set which was fantastic as we were able to wander to the beach and swim with turtles. I would highly recommend this resort for the value for money, comfortable, clean rooms, a beautiful pool area and the staff. Did not want to leave!

Really nice hotel, food was really good, nice breakfast, nice bedroom, big pool and clean. The only little bad thing was just the wifi not working a lot during my trip

We had an amazing time on Jali Resort. All the people here is absolutely lovely. We stayed at 12 days, and both we and our kids felt like home. The pool was nice and the food was the best we tried on Gili. Thank you guys for making our vacation so good.Best regards Karina, Tommy, Flora og Liva

Very nice staff, great food, free snorkels, overall very welcoming place - also quiet at night.

Rooms are comfortable, cleaned daily, and the staff is kind and polite. The only thing that could be added to the room is a mosquito net. The restaurant is top-notch – everything is delicious and fresh. This is my third time on Gili Trawangan, and I can confidently say that next time, I will choose this place again. Awesome location next to the island shortcut. A couple of minutes walk till turtle point beach and very strategic for bike riders. Breakfast is just ok but lunch and dinners are simply delicious. A lot of people from all over the island come here for dinner.Very long swimming pool where you can actually swim.

Bathrooms are not very comfortable during the rainy season due to the opening in the roof but still ok.

Staff, food, pool and room were excellent

Loved everything about our staff here. Close enough to the beach and port. Wonderful staff. Nice breakfast and hot water in the shower. I would come back!

Very clean rooms with AC and fan. Outdoor shower was fun & different. The breakfast/food at the restaurant was delicious. Can rent bikes from the hotel - highly convenient.

Amazing place located just 10 mins from the Turtle Beach and the best snorkelling spot on the island. It’s also walking distance from the harbour.

There is a cafe in the property that is busy in the evening. Our room was next to it, so it was a bit loud. Despite this, would stay there again.

Comfortabel bed, super friendly staff and good food

The bathroom was a bit dirty, e.g. the sink did not drain properly and the tap was quite dirty.

Jali Resort is a nice boutique hotel, with 16 little cottages - being the guests rooms, which are spotless clean; the furniture is cute and one can remark that attention to details was paid. Once entering the room, masks and snorkel sets are awaiting for you free or charge. Flowers and towels, including beach towels, are nicely set on the bed.In case of need, you can rent a bike for daily 50k - which is a little above average but still fair.The highlight is the wonderful pool (narrow, but at least 25m long - you can really swim!) and the private sunbeds in front of the rooms.In the evening, the restaurant is always full: we did not try it, but the food must be very tasty and the service better than in the morning (otherwise I could not explain why it is always so packed: there was no empty table, and the location of the hotel is not on a Main Street - you have to look for it).On day one we needed to ask to fix the air conditioning - it was immediately done and we had no problems afterwards.All in all, it is a cute hotel where to spend a couple of days in a chilled environment in an inexpensive hotel.

Being a boutique hotel, there is no breakfast buffet (we booked the room with breakfast included): it is a La Carte (served from 7 to 11 AM) and it only has the possibility to order one dish, accompanied by fruit juice, coffee and a shared fruit platter per room (we are two big men, we found the breakfast tasty but really not enough - and you cannot order anything else as extra). The service in the morning is not so careful - the waiters are often using their phones and not really caring about the guests - dishes are sometimes served with no cutlery. Nothing really bad, but when I am on vacation I personally don’t want to bother keeping on asking for the same thing.Warm water was for the whole stay an issue: both in the morning and in the evening, the water was cold (in 3 days, I managed to take only one hot shower - and I say hot, as I could not have it warm. Hot or cold). A little bit a pity, because I would have loved to really enjoy the shower, which is a beautiful open-air private one.
