Very noisy at night from their bar (super loud and annoying live music every night)

The property was right next to the affiliated Raja Bar. The staff were extremely friendly. We enjoyed the beach and just relaxed all day. If you are into snorkeling, there were plenty of people around the beach area doing that. If you want to see a lovely sun set, it’s walk up the path a bit and you’ll find it! Would definitely go back!!

I loved my stay in Salim so much that I extended my stay my 4 days. The staff here are so incredibly friendly, room is cleaned daily if you’d like and the pool area is clean and pool super deep. Check in and out process is quick and easy. The adjoining restaurant/bar serves great food and has friendly staff too. I will really miss this place.

Nothing I didn’t like.

Absolutely a the best stay we could have asked for . The room was super clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool was heated to the the perfect refreshing temperature you can even enjoy at night . The Raja restaurant is right on the beach and had such an amazing menu , we only ate here the whole time. This hotel should be much higher rated in our opinion and has to be the best resort in Gili Air . Just the best staff so friendly and cool locals that will take great care of all thier guest . Rooms have large outdoor patios to enjoy the island life the the fullest ! Just book and you will be so happy at Salim resort I. Gili Air ! Thanks for an amazing stay

We loved everything about this place

Amazing staff always kind and friendly , Djibril was always there for anything we needed. The location is very close to the many beaches of the island and the coral reefs.

The bathroom has seen better days but in general this is a minor issue .

Very beautiful and quiet place. Everything is good, the wood room, the garden and the swimming pool. Close to everything and there is turtles just in front of the hotel! The owner and the staff are really kind and helpulf, also, the restaurant and the breakfast are really good ! Must star on Gili Air, I will come back!

Friendly staff, great location (you wake up and can see the sunset from the property), not too commercial/busy. Has a restaurant right in front of the resort called Raja bar where they play live music every night until 11. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but certainly mine.

Vibes were too great that I ended up staying for two weeks. I could never leave here ?

Reception staff weren't very helpful Had a bar attached to it and one night the music was full on pumping till 4am and I got no sleep.There were a few holes in the roof.Overall I wouldn't stay again, go down the road to "Kaluku" much nicer and better staff and only a bit more expensive then this place.

the staff, reception in particular, were not always available, and could not provide adequate information about transport and how to move further. room was very dark, only one window.Air conditioning could not be adjusted and was very noisy

Stayed for 6 nights, we loved the salmi beach resort. The room was spacious, the cleaners did an amazing job every day. The food was reasonably priced, not amazing but we liked the atmosphere so we spent lots of money on food and drinks in the Raja bar adjoining Salim beach resort. Ryan was amazing, he showed excellent customer service skills and really looked after us. The staff at Salim beach resort were all amazing. But at the end of our stay after 6 nights of spending our money in the restaurant and bar and thinking the staff were really lovely. We were so disappointed when my husband wanted to buy a tshirt as a reminder of our stay and we realised then that the friendly smiles were not genuine. Agung made it clear that he seen $ when he smiled at us by trying to make us pay triple the price for a tshirt that we would pay anywhere else , it was deflating after our lovely stay and the efforts of the rest of the staff .

The walls are very thin in the rooms . All slight noises are very loud. The bar staff are not as genuinely friendly as they pretend to be.Unfortunately you can’t trust the friendly smiles of anyone on Gili islands or Lombok. Sadly they believe everyone is rich and therefore a target . This is not the only place we experienced this in Lombok and the Gili islands.

It is really a gorgeous place, beautiful garden and quite a special location.The staff is so friendly and always helpful, always in a good mood.It's not the typical luxury type hotel, it feels more real, with some quirks that make it feel like an honest experience.

Each evening there isoud live music in the restaurant but thankfully it's not audible as much in the rooms.

The pool was alright

The toilet was 50 years old and the bathroom smelled like mold! And there was very little warm water

Little cabins dotted around in nice garden plus we had one in the buildings by the pool. Good location and lovely breakfast on the beach.

Rooms are quite dark and bathrooms feel a bit tired. Stayed in 3 places on Gili Islands and this was most expensive and no better than others. It’s a good location and nice setting but you don’t want to pay any more than the standard price for simple room + pool.

Everything. I booked 5 nights pool view room, arrived no room as booked, given room with garden view. What is the reason for this, obviously hotel has given my booked room to higher bidder. I was moved to pool view for my last 2 nights.The room was not the best, no fridge, power points all 300mm above floor. Try bending down with a bad back.The toilet door wouldn't open, took staff 30 minutes to fix. The pool area was dirty. The concrete walkways were stuffed, broken concrete, had to watch every step to avoid falling. Breakfast was basic. Worse of all the band starts playing 7.30pm finishes 11.30. I just as well slept in the bar.No, this hotel was not up to 3 star it would struggle to make 1 star

Friendly staff, a clean and quiet place. Very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Close to a great snorkeling spot! Food fantastic, best Gado Gado on the island. Lovely staff.

Nice property, friendly staff, Nice pool. Badi at the front desk is very kind and pleasant. You can snorkel in front of the hotels and see fish or turtles.

Mosquito and the wifi could be better. The restaurant service is somewhat slow.

Friendly, relaxing. Convenient and a super chilled location. Glad that we stayed at Salim Cottage. We are currently staying in a high end hotel and it's not for us. Salim was earthy.

Mozzies and glass doors that always slam shut. Always a lack of toilet paper for those who use it. You get what you pay for and Salim Cottages was great value for money.
