Jayakarta Hotel Lombok

The Bartender was very friendly and engaging. The pool guy really works. Constantly cleaning and making sure the pool is perfect and it was. Good strong coffee at the Breakfast buffet.

We didn’t have hot water. Cool/warm was the best. Which given the hotel was almost empty, low season and warm.

Lovely traditional style hotel. Very friendly staff, excellent service. Lovely, relaxing pool area. Chill local vibe. I can't say enough good things about the staff, they really are great!

Everything is great

Lovely resort with an incredible pool. Location is best if you have a scooter otherwise there is not much around. The breakfast was good (we really liked the fresh waffles). Super comfy beds and nice balcony.

Great spot by the beach which is cleaned by the hotel. Pool is great. Rooms are spacious, and while a bit dated, clean and everything works. Staff is super nice. Lot of games like chess, fuss-ball, pool table.

Some of the breakfast items could be fresher. There is a lot of choice though.

Room wasn't ready until 15.30 even though check in time is listed as 14.00. Water temperature in shower constantly changing and sometimes had no hot water. Beware of the beachfront rooms, they are really pool front rooms, and 2 of the 3 pools are for kids and babies. My beachfront room was in front of the kids pool and there were kids screaming all day playing, easy to hear from room. Not a huge selection on restaurant menu. To be honest I was surprised this was a 4 star hotel. I also stayed up the road at holiday resort in senggigi and that place blew jayakarta out of the water.

the hot water in the bathroom took quiet a while to get hot, so if you want to take a shower you have to let the water run a couple of minutes before you can get in the shower

-Wifi is very poor-location is not the best-they give me and my wife for our honeymoon 2 bed instead of one king bed!! -request to adjust my staying period but they refused

The staff were lovely, the breakfast was amazing! The rooms were comfortable but a bit outdated. The grounds though were lovely.

Not very clean, I found a little snake in the toilet that was broken, the shower was cold, the beach sand is black.

Rooms are to old showers , toilets, bathroom are too old , the hotel rooms need upgrades.

Near to beach, kids Playground, kids pool with sand. It is quite old accomodation, but at the end is good :) stuff very friendly, especially waiter his name was Menu, he brought every day avocados for our small boy 7 months ❤️Food was good, but a lot of fried food - can be improved, but we weren’t hungry, which is the most important. We spend there 9 nights. Beach has black sand and some of the days was not so clean, but what we can do here - the sea will bring everything we humans throw away

The staff was very kind all the time , the rooms are comfortable and is a nice setting in front of the beach where you can hear the waves crash on the beach. The swimming pool is big and the hotel has a SPA where you can get a very good massage.

The manager Fuad and his staff were so warm and welcoming - something that you don't often see at a hotel this big. Even the staff in training were great! The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. The rooms overlooking the pools and sea are so peaceful. I think the pools here are some of the best in Indonesia! I will return. Highly recommend!

Bit secluded - 10 minutes taxi into centre.

The swimming pool was great, breakfast was pretty good.

Even though check in time is 2pm, we couldn't check into our room until 3:30pm because the room wasn't ready. We had to ask for our room to be made up daily.

Big property with big gardens and swimming pools and lots of breakfast options to choose from

Though room was clean and well maintained but I guess the property itself is very old so the rooms had earthworm in the ceiling and I felt it untidy to sleep overhead earthworm and as mentioned the gym didn’t had any proper facilities for weight training so we had to pay extra to go other nearby gym

Sweet but dated resort, clean room, has nice bar and restaurant on beach.

The beach was pretty polluted so no desire to swim there.

If you need to stay near Mataram but still want access to touristy areas like Senggigi and Nipah on a budget (if you have Genius status discount like we did), then look no further as resorts and villas in Senggigi area tend to be on a higher end. The Mataram Islamic Center, where our friend held their wedding, is about a 15-minute scooter ride away. Bangsal Port is about 30-45 minutes by scooter, and from there, the Gili Islands are just a 15-30 minute speed boat ride. The hotel gives me a nostalgic feeling, reminiscent of the five-star hotels my parents took me to as a child (I’m in my 30s), and the food and the service by the staff is top-notch, especially Mr. Menu (I’m serious).

The amenities at the hotel were very outdated—even the hotel booklet seemed like it hadn't changed since the 80s or 90s! It felt like we had traveled back in time. If you are around my parents' age (they are in their 60s - 70s), you might appreciate the nostalgia, but we were hoping for more, especially since it's the 'Jayakarta' after all. I also lost a helmet from my rented scooter even though it’s parked right next to the security post, and there were no CCTV cameras in the motorbike parking area. The security didn't seem too concerned and just replaced it with another helmet from the lost and found (though the helmet they offered is very dirty and worn out and the rental company wasn’t too happy that their new-ish helmet was replaced with this). Anyway, we booked the 'Cottage Room Double' and were upgraded to the 'Junior Suite with Pool View' because our room wasn’t ready at the time we were checking in, but it didn't feel like much of an upgrade! Though we had a huge discount from Booking.com thanks to my genius status, so it was still good value for money, but we think the original price is a bit too high for the quality offered, and we would rather pay for a little more for a more ‘bougie’ resort in Senggigi area.
