Remote location, uncrowded beach, peaceful and quiet, great service, property well cared for.

Never wanted to leave...

The breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and the view was spectacular. Recommend.

The restaurant is very good. Everything we ate was delicious including the pizzas. The bathrooms had been renovated from our last visit which was very welcome. Rooms were spacious, clever connecting rooms. We wanted to try the Pullman hotel but they were not able to guarantee connecting rooms for our family so we decided to go back to the Novotel.

The restaurant staff got our orders wrong once or twice. It was due to language issues i.e English. It wasnt a big problem to be honest. Once due to a storm warning the sun beds mattresses had been removed. When it cleared up, we wanted to use the pergolas and none of the beach boys helped us remove all the mattresses that they had piled onto the pergolas. They could see that we were standing there. In the end we did it ourselves and they never offered any assistance which I found odd since there were 4 staff in the hut and they were just chatting.

Next to a clean beach, nice swimming pool, nice spacious room. There was a problem with the air conditioning, it was fixed within 10 minutes ??

Food options can be better, lot of steps, no elevator.

The design of the place

The beach was very muddy, dirty and not ready for swimming.

Nice resort at the beach and close to Kuta city. Good restaurant and plenty of sunbeds at the beach and pool. The room was clean and comfy.

It is not possible to walk to the city center, you need a taxi or scooter.

Good Location, but a bit far from the kuta beach life. Meaning that if you dont have any transport you have to have your lunch dinner at the resort.breakfast was good, the bread was excellent!Staff very friendly and helpful

Rooms where ok but old style

Large hotel with the full suite of services available. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The hotel is a little dated and less "glitzy" than some other hotels at a similar price point but it is somewhat charming in this way and feels like stepping back a couple of decades (although with good Wifi available everywhere). The grounds are very spacious and shady. One nice thing about this hotel compared to other large hotels is that it doesn't have any large and imposing buildings - even the 3 level building with the more basic rooms feels like it is set amongst the trees and does not dominate the landscape. There is an open air restaurant and bar, two pools, lounging both pool and beachside, and direct beachfront access. The beachfront is unfortunately not very clean for swimming but the sunset views are very nice.The hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the centre of Kuta and the hotel has plenty of drivers available to organise a car even on short notice. We had drivers pick us up from the town centre more than once and we didn't have to wait more than about 15 minutes. I had some laundry done which was a bit expensive and had a small issue when the hotel momentarily misplaced my items, but they were very quick to address the problem.

It was lovely. Relaxing and clean.

There is certainly nothing bad to tell. A nice resort, nice staff, good food, good drinks. And in the end, all of that fair priced.

The accommodations were lovely and clean. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast had everything you could ask for, the food was very good.

Beware of bats in your room!

WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! I had a BAT in my room! Every room at the Novotel has an opening to the corridor above the ceiling in the bathroom where bats can enter (see photo).Around midnight one night, I was terrified by a bat circling my room. It left bat droppings behind, which are toxic to inhale. By the time the staff came to my room, I managed to trap the bat in the bathroom and it had found its way back out. The staff did nothing to address the opening in the ceiling. They said that these entryways exist in EVERY ROOM at the hotel, so yes, there was a chance a bat could fly into ANY room at the hotel.I could not sleep that night and checked out of the hotel - but the manager refused to refund me for that night! I am perplexed by the management as this is also one of the most expensive hotels in the area. They should be apologizing and fixing their hotel for safety, as well as treating their customers with far more respect. I don’t write many reviews but wanted to warn others to stay away, for your own health and safety, and to refuse to support such a terrible business and management that doesn’t care about their guests, despite the high premium paid.If the bats aren't enough to keep you away, be sure to note that the walls are very thin and the hallway carries sounds and voices. You hear every door that closes as they bang shut and echo loudly. The air conditioner is on a motion sensor in the room. Unless you are moving constantly in front of it, it turns off. The beach there is steep and you can’t walk far as it is only about 100m long. To get to other beaches you will need a car or scooter.
