Great value spot if you stay in the dorm rooms. Nice facilities, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Nice pool. Beautiful views from pool, tranquil setting a little out of the main streets of town.

Wish there was access to the yoga space for guests to use besides classes, because its a nice space to stretch/workout with a view, but is locked at all times when there aren't classes, which is only 1-2x a day so seems like a waste of space most the day. Restaurant was pretty mediocre, could definitely improve there. Construction was happening outside hotel and very loud during the day.

I liked that there was a nice pool, yoga classes twice a day, the option to take surfing lessons, the food was amazing, the staff were so attentive and on top of things with great suggestions.

Everything. I was greeted by a welcoming staff helping me with my stuff. Very thorough with the explanation of all the amenities they have to offer. Very clean rooms and bathroom/common area.

I had a wonderful time at Porter. The bed was insanely comfortable. The staff were so accommodating. The food was also very delicious.

The road getting to Porter is a bit gnarly especially when wet. The incline to get at the property was also very steep.

Everything. I stayed in the 6 person’s dormitory, and had my sleep ever. So comfy, clean, everyone is friendly, the pool is amazing. They will make your bed everyday and will change your towels every 2 days.

The road to come here is a dirt one and is up a hill so if you not confident at all driving a scooter maybe I won’t stay here but otherwise no issues

The host, Jane Porter, was always on the grounds and a very warm welcomer. Yoga classes were great with yin typically in the afternoon. Pool was perfect, though more chairs would be nice. Food was delicious. This is one of my favorite hotels.

Everything about this hotel was amazing! It was super clean and aesthetic, quiet and secluded and the service was amazing - Kamel was incredible attentive and even gave us a lesson on riding a scooter, so we were then able to rent a scooter for the rest of the trip which made getting around a lot easier! The included breakfast was also incredible, healthy and delicious and the food and drink menu was also great and very good value.

A few minor things - the road to the hotel is very bumpy and the hotel is a little far away - not a problem once we had the scooter though. The road is out of the hotels control though but hopefully it is improved soon! The other thing was there was some mould on the ceiling in our bathroom. I think this was due to the bathrooms not having fans so the hot steam / air from the shower gets trapped in there, however they quickly cleaned it once we let the hotel know.

We liked everything. The hotel vibe, the restaurant menu (breakfast and lunch/dinner), the location is amazing as you’re close to everything but you feel like in the middle of the jungle. Also the bed was super comfy. Favourite stay of our trip by far.

Beautifully located in the jungle around so much greenery. Bed was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We extended 3 times. The garden and the pool are phenomenal. We actually preferred the cheaper rooms upstairs as they offer more privacy. We will totally book Porter Hotel again for our next stay.Downsides:We would have loved some Indonesian breakfast options (they only offer western breakfast). There are not enough sunbeds for all the guests and some guests just leave their towels there as a "reservation" for the whole day.Also note that the street leading to the hotel is super shitty especially during rainy season.

Clean, beautiful, good quality foods and drinks, nice infinity pool, soundproof rooms with privacy curtains and shade for each bed, free drinking water.

Location. It was up hill and a little far from town which made it difficult to move around without a scooter. However, they provide a free shuttle twice a day.

Calm location and nice clean rooms with a lovely infinity pool. Great restaurant and very helpful staff. Yoga classes were excellent and the staff helped organise everything from scooters to transfers etc. Also have a cute resident cat

Location is a little out the way on a bumpy road so be prepared for a walk to town or some arm pump on a scooter. But this makes the location peaceful
