Puri Bunga Beach Cottages Hotel

The location is good.

All of their toilets have a very foul smell.The rooms and toilets were not properly maintained & cleaned.

The grounds were very well kept, breakfast was excellent and staff super helpful with scooter and car service. The view was 10/10 from the balcony.

A little dated but room was great value for money

One guy in the reception who stays at night doesn't talk nicely. Otherwise other staffs are friendly and welcoming.

The view over the bay is magnificent, better than the below Sheraton. Good value for money. The main building and the rooms look like a Hindu temple.

The main was noisy, so also at the swimming pool. The towels were dirty. The rooms are slightly worn out. The rooms are a bit dark

We loved our stay at Puri Bunga. Beautiful bungalows overlooking looking the sea. Huge pool with lots of space to lounge. Staff are absolutely lovely and helpful. Daily cleanings. Delicious breakfast, buffet and made to order items. Located just across the street from the beach and walkable to lots of restaurants.

Rooms are a old, need renovation. It is on the Main Street, can be loud specially on weekends.Still great value for money!

Wifi didn’t work in the room (not the end of the world though), otherwise it was great.

The staff was so kind, the swimming pool was lovely and the location is very convenient (close to the beach). It was very clean, nice AC, nice basic bedroom! We got a new bottle of water every day in our room. The breakfast included had many options and was very good.

The non-smoker bungalow area is unfortunately very close to the main road and the isolation of the walls is probably thin. You can hear very distinctly anything that goes around outside including the noise of the cars, bikes and trucks driving by. Also unfortunately, our bungalow was connected through a door to another bungalow and we could hear our neighbour's conversations (and playing music) late at night.

Beautiful views up on the terrace where our room was. Excellent breakfast, staff friendly, recommend to stay here. There are lots of steps to reach the rooms, this might be difficult for some people.

Large comfortable bed, large bathroom, lovely pool and dining area.

Water went off a couple of times but sorted very quickly. Pool is close to the road so expect some traffic noise . But given the price it definitely exceeded all expectations.

The hotel was spacious and beautifully decorated. Large pool for swimming which was great and plenty of sun-beds to relax on. Breakfast was good with choice of eggs, toast, fruit and salads/rice. The staff were very helpful and organised transfers for us. The room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely balcony giving a beautiful sunset view - use mosquito spray and turn balcony light off to not attract more geckos!!Would recommend this hotel!

The view of the harbour, the outer reef and passing boats from the upper level rooms makes the extra steps we'll worthwhile The pool is large and clean with plenty of lounges and shade if you want it

Wonderful place that felt like luxury to a budget traveller. Huge room, kettle with coffee, big bottle of water each day, lovely pool, breakfast was perfectly sufficient, close to other good restaurants. The staff were great, keeping the place tidy, carrying my heavy suitcase for me.The only minor suggestion to the hotel would be to put more fans on in the public areas. It was a bit hot in the restaurant and reception.

The rooms are up on terraces overlooking the ocean. Beautiful surroundings, lots of steps to get to rooms so maybe not for very elderly people. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, small balcony on our room, very good value.

Breakfast was traditional with egg of choice, toast and homemade jams (pineapple or papaya) and peanut butter, fried rice and fried noodles, fresh fruits, coffee, tea, juice, and either make your own gado gado, or salad. Staff was always helpful and went above and beyond! I extended my stay by 11 days I liked it here so much. Pool was cleaned every morning and had plenty of beach loungers. Room was cleaned daily, a kettle is provided and coffee tea and 1.5L water bottle was replenished daily. The landscaping is well maintained with beautiful colors of flowers and while I stayed in a lower level room (124) the view was spectacular with the sunset over the sea every night. Having many options of food at the restaurant was a bonus esp on evenings you just want to stay in. The pizza is very good, as is the fish and chips for when you want to break away from the traditional dishes. The pan seared traditional fish was divine with a perfect amount of spice (heat), though I felt it a little overcooked. Great place to stay and I highly recommend!
