Hotel Kia Ora Resort & Spa

Staff was very attentive. Hotel grounds were immaculate. Breakfast was amazing. Proximity to world-class diving cannot be beat. Winery and pearl farm trips are worth exploring. Overall Highly recommend!

The king bed in the room was two twins vs a traditional king or queen this causes there to be a ridge in the middle of the bed.

Location was phenomenal. The over water bungalow was amazing. Friendly staff. Do the aquarium snorkel with Ugo,he does a great tour!!!!

The beds were not very comfortable or plush. The jacuzzi jets did not work.

What a beutiful place! Great facilities, very helpful staff and amazing surroundings with sunsets to enjoy.

We stayed in the overwater bungalow and it was fabulous. Clean, comfortable bungalow with a breathtaking view. So fun swimming off our private dock (careful at night though, we spotted a shark!). The rainshower was amazing and the bath products, so luxurious. We appreciate that the resort was smaller than others in Polynesia and not overcrowded. We liked the complimentary access to snorkeling gear and kayaks. We went scuba diving with Blue Velvet (by The 6 Passengers) located on the premises. Food was great, the buffet for the Polynesian show night was yummy! Also, if you want to stay longer after check out, they offer a “transit” bungalow to shower in. It is a pricey stay but worth it for a special occasion!

It was close to the water

Outdated, poor service at restaurants, poor quality food, some staff service was poor

it's beautiful. The staff are wonderful,friendly,helpful in everyway. it's relaxing.

The coffee. Freeze dried in rooms. Breakfast coffee is too I believe. We traveled to many places in FP. 1st that had this. Please put single cup espresso machines in rooms. Atleast your Bungalows. We like to enjoy sunrises with a great cup of coffee. Bring your own if you want decent coffee in the morning.

Beautiful location and aesthetic accommodation

Staff were rude and uncommunicative, food was awful and super expensive, we had to send food back it was so bad. Hotel is getting old and is not being updated, floors have missing boards and nails popped up, hot tub was cold, phones in rooms did not work, staff were overwhelmed with number of guests, security guards were rude and threw rocks at dogs

The staff was courteous and thoughtful. The staff was organized and anticipated our needs.

The beds are terrible! The mattresses were lumpy and just long past do to be replaced. Mosquitos were off the hook. A Mosquito net around the bed would help out tremendously.

Wonderful location and place. The spa is fantastic and the staff is very welcoming.

Food could be better (not so fresh / not so high level).Water not available any time.Few soaps provided in the hotel.

Very expensive

Beautiful location.High quality and fairly priced restaurant [considering the usual price range in French Polynesia].Our overwater bungalow was very spacious and had a wonderful view. There are no OW bungalows facing each other in this hotel which is great.Five star stay, really (complimentary bottle of wine upon learning it was our honeymoon was a nice touch).

Location, lagoon, very nice staff, room with private pool, gardens very well maintained by several gardeners.

Too few sun beds at the beach, no animation in the evening, some renovations that would need to be done. Parts of the deck of the restaurant outside made of wood and the outside of the pool (missing stone).

Facilities were very good

While the staff in the restaurant and bar were absolutely great, the reception staff sometimes gave a bit the impression we were bothering them with basic requests (I swear I’m not being a Karen). And the food was not great, for the price of the room. We fully understand it’s a remote location with staff/logistics constraints, but we did pay very expensive for the stay.

Pricey

The hotel is beautiful, the location and the beach, the excursions organised by the diving centre at the hotel are very nice.

It was a bit of a nightmare when the airline company changed my flight and I had to stay one night less there cause they did not want to reimburse me the night and it was clearly not my fault.

Very welcoming and helpful staff and a lovely setting. Good food options too.

Rooms are a bit tired but work well and my private pool was a dream after diving all day!
