Tanoa International Hotel

Awesome staff. I had an over night flight///very early arrival in Fiji and long layover (5:30 am to 10 pm) and really needed to check in early to get some rest. Thank goodness this could be accommodated. So grateful.

I went for lunch in the restaurant and ordered pizza from the wood oven. Not sure if they forgot me or what but I waited a long long long time and another large party came in sometime after me and they were all served first. Finally got my order sorted.

Cleanliness

Beautiful facility, very helpful staff, delicious restaurants, close to airport.

The hotel is self contained, which is great, but very little walking distance establishments outside of hotel. Though the proximity and shuttle to the airport makes it a great stop for those needing that quick access.

The swimming pool area is very good, with the bar and oven pizza around. The hotel offers shuttle from the airport which can be very handy.

The location was close to amenities.

The room was not what was advertised on the page. As opposed to ny previous stay, The tiles on the floor were coming off the grout and whatever they used to clean the floors left a sticky residue.

Bit far from the Harbour with lots of traffic. Our room had cockroaches and we had to move rooms. Our other three rooms of travelling companions were fine.

The staff were lovely! Rooms were very clean and very spacious. Easy to find pick up shuttle at the airport.

Unfortunately, the construction going on was often loud and distracting. Food a bit overpriced and average. No lights by the beds. Wi-Fi was spotty.

Great staff. Lovely pool area. Decent breakfast. The staff are the nicest I have ever run across in all my travels around the world.

Close to the airport, lovely new room, a little disappointed in the pool etc not being available due to renovations which I was not made aware of on booking. Booking was mucked up and took longer than usual, but upgrade to lovely new room was appreciated. Selena in F & B was exceptional :)

Friendly staff, excellent location, and safe. It's mostly clean. Good buffet breakfast and nice food.

Most facilities are closed due to renovation. Had to go to the other hotel to use facilities like a pool which was small.

Bula Bar was friendly and accomodating

No Pool, due to renovations. People were allowed to smoke in the Bula Bar. Disgusting!

Location and experience

I did not get notified the pool was under construction. There should have been a shuttle to the Tanoa Apartments pool

Location to the airport

No iron in the room, volume on the TV didn’t work. Was raining and no offer of an umbrella on uncovered walk to the room.

As always staff always great and friendly.

Not being told when made booking that their were renovations happening during our stay. We traveled in a group of 14 majority children and stayed at Tanoa for 2 nights and the pool was closed.

Really friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable room. Great little Japanese restaurant on site. Relaxed vibe. Accessible to airport.

There was a delay of over an hour collecting us from the airport - required an additional phone call to request shuttle. Pool was shut due to prolonged renovations, which was not declared in advance and there was no specific compensation for this, which would have been nice. Not such an issue for us as was just a one night stay.

The room has been renovated, nice look and decoration, clean and very comfortable

Attending a conference, the main conference room seemed a bit small for the size of the group.

Pool area was under construction; not all menu items were available; rooms were a bit worn and mattress very firm.
