    • Edgewater bure are awesome. The staff is 10/10, everybody is so nice and helpfull. Little fijian guitar and base band (acoustic) during diner is perfect. For activities, its better to take their tour. We tried to do some on our own and we lost time...

    • Personal attention to detail from the staff really made it an amazing experience. While the lodgings were great, I really feel their main strength was their attention to individual service. I was impressed - and I don't say that often.

    Cons -

    • We paid for an upgrade from flotting bure, which are not ocean view, to one of the edgewater bure. A bit more pricey, but a really big difference for the view and scenery...
    • The resort activities were overpriced and we missed out on a couple activities because there was not enough people for the minimum, the accommodation is quite pricey I think the least they could of done was take us still.
    • Food generally was great. Only thing I can think of was one particularly bad meal but they switched out for me. Overall loved the food setup.

    Spa and Dive Shop

Staff were incompetent, disingenuous, and almost laughably disorganized.

Friendly staff, beautiful location, free activities. Overall was a perfect experience in Savusavu. Would definitely visit again in the future.

Very clean and tidy property, rooms in quiet location, lovely spa with great massages. Cute cultural show.

Ongoing construction at the pool area, constant sounds of power tools and workers yelling back and forth to each other, resort could care less that there were guests trying to enjoy the pool area. I paid and traveled to sit in a construction site. Kept hearing about how they were fixing things before the owners arrived from Colorado. Shameful. Not enough pool/beach towels, often not available. Pathetic nickel and dime-ing over breakfast items and coffees that were not even barista quality. Dinner service was incredibly disorganized with timing and food quality/consistency. Our family, staying in two separate rooms, ate at the same table at the same time but were served our meals 30 minutes apart, and identical dishes ordered were completely different. Evening fruit plate was outrageously expensive for a single slice of pawpaw and a few grapes. Absolutely shockingly subpar, and staff could not care less. Primary concern was to get your signature constantly on their little bar and coffee charges, always interrupting and nagging like mosquitoes. Not at all relaxing. As a result, we left the resort at mealtimes to find better dinners in town. Staff pleasant but not well trained.

Everything was amazing! The staff was all super friendly, fun, and willing to help in any way they could. The long list of activities were all great, especially the ones that ingrained you more in Fijian culture, and were available all hours of the day. The views were all amazing including from the ocean while kayaking to the forest while hiking. All of the food was amazing. This includes the breakfast buffet and all three restraunts, but especially the food at the Fijian culture night buffet.

The only minor drawback would be the road running through the resort. It wasn't always super busy, but you could sometimes hear vehicles running over the speedbumps in the middle of the night which could be annoying or startling at times but was still not a big deal.

    Location

It’s really for package travellers. Restaurant neededFood to be pre-booked by 9am for lunch and before 2pm for dinner. If not, you’d have nothing to eat. Even the pizzeria took orders only till 7pm and there was nothing nearby for miles if you’re hungry and didn’t have a meal plan or didn’t manage to decide on everything before the cut-off time. Bathrooms weren’t clean enough - had cockroaches. The main restaurant also had way too many flies at the table, not sure if it was a sanitary issue. I noticed the restaurant staff open a packet of muesli using her teeth - and pointed out she shouldn’t do that and use scissors instead, but it didn’t seem to have made a difference. Housekeeping wasn’t done every day either.

    Staff were helpful and friendly.

Having to register you dinner selection at lunch time.

Positive: great location, beautiful grounds, great infinity pool. Foot at the pool was greatNegatives: the concierge was way too concerned with making sure we understood that we would only have free wifi for 4 people and would have to pay additional to have wifi for the other two in our group. We booked a 3 bedroom villa for six people, paid a good price and was offended by the ‘money grab’.

First night the room had major toilet leakage very unhealthy. Nest night our room was changed but no compensation given in return at least the management could have given a very stay for one night or free dinner to make it up

Apart from the room everything else was ok

The location was exceptional. The rainforest setting with the mountains to one side and the ocean on the other is brilliant.

The property seems to be in need of some serious maintenance to make it functional. A styling update to the rooms while maintaining the Fijian aesthetic is also advised. My main concern was the lack of hygiene in the rooms. The toilet was dirty and seemed to leak. There was a brownish tinge to the tap water and the water in the toilet. They both smelled bad. As a frequent visitor to Fiji, this was the first time we had to brush our teeth with bottled water. The air-conditioning was also tempramental, with it being either freezing cold or simply off al together. The hot water in our room failed as the LPG tank was run empty while my son was having a shower. Appreciate that a rural area may not have plumbed natural gas, but there are better ways to set up the system, such as with 2 LPG Tanks or even using an electric or solar system to avoid these issues.Dining was also an issue, I picked up 2 tubs of sealed Rewa Yogurt on 2 separate days to find both had gone off. Both were within the printed best before dates. However, it had gone off, potentially due to poor refrigeration. Dinner at Koro Sun needs to be booked at breakfast, and even with this advanced booking, we were served roast chicken, which was still "pink" inside.Public safety also seems not to be a concern for staff at the Koro Sun. For example we found the hotel driver washing down the mini bus at reception on multiple occasions. On polished tile floors, it can result in a guest slipping and suffering a serious injury. My ten year old happened to slip and was fortunate that I cause him. With 10's of acres of vacant land at their disposal, it beggars belief as to why this practice would be permitted, all within the line of sight of the duty manager. If this was a budget hotel, I would let everything but the plumbing and safety issues go. However, at this price point, it is simply unacceptable.Location aside, this property is disappointing, to say the least.

Beautiful location and amazing food at sand bar. Diving superb.

Servicing rooms can be better. We didn’t have room amenities replaced and as there are no phones in room, we had to walk all the way back to get room replenished at night. A lot of mosquitoes which made it uncomfortable.

The villas with private pool are really nice, simple but very well structured

Widespread, the villas were too simple, lacked a touch of warmth and welcome. Staff mediocre as everywhere in Fiji, but this staff especially arrogant. Also security wise, the water villas and other superior villas are on the other side of the Main Street (cross island street)- in the evening it is not illuminated. The tiles on the floor of the villa compound are not anti slippery- they are made for walls but definitely not flooring.

The property's location is good, but Breakfast did not meet our expectations.

Upon checking, the refrigerator was not working. After multiple requests, maintenance showed up, who we overheard on the radio making racist comments in Fiji—Hindi. The front-of-house staff was great, but the maintenance people were racist-type guys. I reported to the management, but they all said we would get to the upper management. I would like all of you to read the following;(1) Injury Reported: While sitting on one of the benches in the patio area, I fell backward, and my head landed on a rock. It was later discovered that the bench was missing a leg. Despite sustaining serious bruises and requesting first aid, the front desk staff were unresponsive, claiming they were busy with other guests. They promised to file an incident report and provide a copy, but this was never done. Their lack of attention to our situation was disappointing, and we believe more could have been done to ensure our safety.(2) Bedbugs: My son had rashes all over his body due to bed bugs, and nothing was done. They just brought a small cream to put on it. The room was declined.(3) earthworms invaded our living room, and no action was taken despite our report. This lack of response was disappointing, and we believe more could have been done to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the property.

Great resort stay for a reasonable price. Good range of activities and Dive Savusavu on site to make sure you get to experience the stunning underwater world around Vanua Levu. Highly recommended.

Thanks to the genuine best efforts from staff members like Sam, Andrew and Immanuel, they made the stay and activities there a little better than what could have been the worst stay at a 4 stars spot I have ever been to! And thanks for letting my friend stay at the same Marina villa we booked for our last night, instead of moving a 2nd time to a 3rd lesser villa.

I was sold on the pictures shown of the Mountain Top Villa and the activities to do in this resort. As soon as I have arrived, my villa was full of flying bugs, and the pool had lots of floating dead insects! Half of the activities were what I expected to be to experience from a Fiji paradise and the other half were like a huge disappointment that it shocked me that this is a 4 star resort! Wifi services were terrible and required a daily call for the the IT staff to come to fix the wifi at the villa, and only worked smoothly in the last day of my whole stay in that villa. Calling the reception was even bad as the sound over the phone was so hard to hear and low! No automatic safety lights by the pool at night, so it's easy to fall into the gap by the pool or fall over the low rails next to the small stairs by the pool that could lead to falling to your death or at least severely injured since it's a huge drop from up there. Also there's no privacy in the lower floor bathroom in the other side of the villa and if the cleaning staff were there during that time, they can clearly see me from the window! I'm extremely surprised that is this their best villa from what I was told! It clearly feels not updated to today's standards! The breakfast was OK I guess, but didn't have enough options even with the menu! The trip to the beach was a disaster and didn't look good at all! One last thing, 1 of my friends had to stay 1 extra day because her flight was in the next day, and I did tell them to take care of my friend since she only speaks Romanian. What they did is made her leave early by 2 hours saying they don't have any other transportation available to take her to the airport and when she was there waiting at the airport she saw another of their transports arriving much later and before her flight! She could have stayed more time at the resort if they didn't make her leave early!
