Rose Bay Resort

Perfection! Slowed us down; allowing us to breathe more deeply! Pleasantly modest/clean accommodation, and friendly/accommodating staff, but it was the peaceful and serene oceanfront location with access to beautiful walks that made our stay so wonderful!

Absolutely stunning waking up and seeing rose bay beach. Nice big rooms, with everything we needed. Felt like home away from home. Staff were lovely!

Getting a little dated I think, still lovely. Also we had to go get more toilet rolls and coffee etc as there ones enough for a night or two. And we were there a week.

The location is just amazing, sleeping to the sound of the waves rolling in is so relaxing. Everything you need is available in the units, couldn't really ask for more. Our two-bedroom unit was very spacious.

There was nothing I did not like about our holiday unit or location.

4 night stay and room wasn’t cleaned once. Had to request more toilet paper and towels. Internet extremely poor. Small bed.

Paddle boards, snorkel gear and kayaks not available as being taken by other guests to rooms. Should have some sort of sign in system to give everyone a fair go at the use of these. It is great to have this available to all guests??

The manager was great helpful but the bed was very uncomfortable my partner found a single mattress and put it on my side of the bed but it wasn’t comfortable then my partner rang the manager who went home and grabbed his personal topper but it wasn’t working we left a day earlier but in fairness I have a bad back due to a car accident and I used a sleep pro topper which is super comfortable . Maybe a suggestion is to have these toppers on each bed.

Obtain better mattresses per room the price honestly was a motel not a resort

Location great the unit we had was exceptional everything you could want was in the unit could not have asked for more

The sliding door to the ensuite could not go to the toilet in the middle of the night quietly it is a noisy door

Right on the beach, apartment was very spacious and comfortable with a lift. Bed was super comfy and price was very reasonable, Had everything you need in the kitchen. Beautiful to watch the sea from your private balcony and a quick drive to everywhere in Bowen.

The only negative was the hall way light shine through the bathroom into the bedroom (had wooden shutters from the bathroom to the bedroom), as I like it to be dark to sleep. But the light turned off later at night so not a super big deal.

Exceptional value for money - easily the best location in North Queensland! Top beach with easy car access to resort and convenient, covered parking. Family-friendly atmosphere. Massive, clean, modern bedrooms, lounge, and kitchen areas. A medium-large scale multilevel property with lift access. Friendly management. Patrons are all regular return-guest families. Access to walking tracks and local public transport bus. Bay is lightly frequented by locals for excellent bbq, swimming, snorkelling, paddling, and fishing location. Pet friendly accommodation. Bird life is active and pleasantly visible. Bay is slightly isolated from town and relatively quiet. Would also rate as a top honeymoon destination or weekender. No schoolies were visible at the time of review. Suitable for car travellers and families.

Bag trolley would be helpful.

Rooms were a bit dated but spacious.

Beautiful location.

Was on second floor, room above could hear kids running across floor and dragging chairs. People smoking on balconies, could not sit on our balcony and had to shut unit up, not good when you want to enjoy the beautiful ocean outlook. Bin in bathroom was full of previous occupants rubbish, coffee cups had coffee drip marks around outside of cups and inside. Probably won't stay again. Regular visitors to Bowen usually stay at Whitsundsy Sands wanted to try somewhere else.

Poor internet service only issue

Location was beautiful but sandflies were ferocious. Perhaps a good sandfy bite remedy could be in-house for guestd to apply and ease the suffering of the bites.Also the rooms are not designed for those with disabilities so some accommodation for that is advised.

Access to food supplies requires a car as they are too far away to reach by foot.

The location was excellent, right on the beach and being able to watch the sunrise from our apartment. The apartment had everything we needed, and it was good to see my wife relax and not touch her laptop while we were there which is what she needed.

This is our 2nd time staying in a studio apartment at Rose Bay Resort. It is very comfortable and clean with lots of room. It has a pool and undercover parking and is right on the beach front.

Great position near the beach. Very relaxing stay.

The bed and the shower weren’t the best.
