The proximity to the beach and the great beach. Breakfast was great as well..

Did not particularily like the tropical forest room.

Thank you to excellent staff member Mary at the Front Desk who was so very helpful and hospitable. Also Dennis in the restaurant was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for making us feel welcome and adding greatly to our positive experience in Mission Beach.

Fabulous location right on the beach and close walk into main part of town. Restaurant food was exceptional. Highly recommend.

The room is very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We had an ocean view room upstairs, with a lovely balcony with a day bed and chairs, which was perfect, to sit and admire the view.

No complaints with the room, I was disappointed with the menu at the restaurant though.

Beautiful location facing the beach, easy access to the beach. Room had a balcony with view of moonrise. Excellent choice of delicious food and friendly staff.

Disappointed that we could not stay on for a few more days.

The location was great.

The rooms are dated, the service at the bar and restaurant was terrible. Tiles were falling off the pool, the pool water feature wasn’t working, they over charged our cocktails during happy hour, the bar was understaffed

Location, location, location plus quality

We were in room 311. The bedroom is on the attic but the only toilet is on the lower levelWhy do you have two showers….a Spa bath would be better and a shower in the other bathroom

Disappointing and deceitful that we were never BEFORE our arrival that the bar and restaurant was closed for our 3 day duration. Never heard of a resort where you cannot purchase and enjoy a drink by the pool. No room service available for 3 days. Feel a little scammed.

I have stayed here twice before the location close to the beach and away from the main road is very appealing

It is worn out we paid $270 for a room with two beds. Dents in the walls a tiny fridge one side table mould in the shower, fans that don’t work. Our room was right at the lift and every person waiting or exiting the lift could be heard like they were in our room. We got a message less than 48 hours before our stay saying the bar and restaurant would be closed! I replied saying that was disappointing as we planned to eat there, response was you can cancel for free..: on arrival met by a lady that barely said anything to us, didn’t offer other food suggestions: then not long after 5 the access to the ocean and pool was all locked up and we weren’t sure how to get through without going to a public road and walking along the beach.. so we didn’t use the pool. I won’t be coming back to this location

The booking was not what we expected. It was not clear but misleading. Wording has changed now but we ended up in a run down, old, uncomfortable room and a separate building.

Waste of money

The room was filthy, dead cockroaches, pubic hair in the shower, dirty benches and dirty towels. Got locked out and was given extra swipe keys so I then had 4 and only one worked so got locked out a second time. The room is tired, rundown and very unclean. The carport outside the room needed a good hosing as there was dirt and leaves everywhere and cobwebs around the door.

The rooms were big, clean and we had a beautiful view! Front desk staff member (very friendly blonde girl, sorry I didn’t get her name) was amazing! She let us check in early and was so helpful.

Only fault was the noise from the room above us, sounded like they were moving furniture most of night and early mornings.

Exceptional

When booking through booking.com you get put in a separate building which is a minute walk, doesn’t look as nice and the main building but was still clean and comfortable and could use all the facilities in the main building.

I enjoyed the location of our room with the view of the ocean, I enjoyed the pool facilities and the quick access to the beach. I liked the location of castaways being walking distances from the town centre

The room was old, I felt like the TV should have been wall mounted instead was awkwardly placed on the bench. I also felt they could have put a double couch in the room instead of the single chair as it was useless. The bed was too small and extremely uncomfortable

Excellent room, space and view. Great location and plenty of areas to park.

Unfortunately on this stay the pool was exceptionally messy. There was so much debris and dead insects floating on top of the surface that we had to look for a clean spot to swim. A ten minute skim of the pool would have fixed this.

Value for money not so much, restaurant was closed with very late notice incorrect text message sent out the night before with wrong date then another one at 8.30am for no breakfast and lunch, and only morning available for breakfast was told only option was a $38 buffet due to Easter friday and would not be paying $131 for 3 people's breakfast because it also had 15% surcharge pp. Rooms really need upgrading as most furnishings were falling apart or completely broken the bathroom door was completely snapped on the bottom and paint peeling all on the bathroom ceiling. The sliding glass door to the balcony would probably wake the whole building up with how scratchy and loud it is to force open.

We had booked the room in a separate building/property and it looked like the staff accommodation. It was dark, old and not nice at all. We checked out after 15 min. And booked another hotel. The pictures did not match the reality. The pool was not clean and full of leaves.

Perfect location right on the beach. Great staff and very good restaurant.
