Thick, high-quality towels, well-designed & decorated room & garden patios, quiet location near shops & restaurants, small yet spacious room, complimentary cheeses were a lovely welcoming touch, ample room amenities.

No thickness selection of pillows. I woke with a stiff neck from a too thick pillow. But thats just me I spose.

The facilities/room were clean and tidy and had everything we expected.The location was excellent, within walking distance to the village and platypus viewing nature walks. It was quiet and away from the traffic.

These gripes are only trivial - the room had a smell of fake chocolate which I didn't find pleasing (it wasn't a bad smell, this is only my preference).I loved the big fluffy towels, however the towel rails in the bathroom are not mounted high enough to adequately hang the towels without them hanging on the floor.

Very clean, comfortable room with quiet surrounds and pleasant garden area. I slept better than I do at home! A short stroll to the shops, cafes, pub. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Cindy our host was very helpful in pointing out local areas that catered to our particular requirements, also providing maps to assist in locating these place of interest to us.The room was very quiet, at night wonderfully dark, two of the best nights sleeps we had during our time in FNQ

Although it's walking distance into the little town its so quiet..we have stayed at the kookaburra a couple of times highly recommend if you love birds beautiful gardens and tranquil setting.. staff are so helpful... looking forward to our next stay..

Location is quiet, being off the main road. Beautiful gardens and walking distance to everything in town. The place is immaculately clean. The towels are very good quality. Bed is very comfortable.

The room has big sliding glass doors but no windows.The small fridge is in the bathroom next to the bin and a metre from the toilet. It could be moved to fit in the room.

Lovely motel room with a comfy bed and a good shower.Microwave, kettle and fridge included, as well as crockery and cutlery.Outside seating was nice.Great location on the edge of the town - close to the town but still very quiet.

Friendly relaxed reception. Thoughtful detail to add comfort and make the guest feel special. A beautiful garden and outdoor table to relax in. Walkable to sights.

Everything was great!

The garden was lovely and the room was very clean.

Too small and pokey. Beds too small. The wifi was a pain and we haven't been asked to pay for it for a long time. Little things like stinginess with tea bags and milk. Fridge in the shower room??

Very friendly welcome by owner. Went out of her way with our room selection. Very clean, had everything we needed. A small but adequate size room in a quiet location. The grounds were beautiful.

There were no negatives

We had a lovely breakfast, it was close to everything and the owners were very nice.

We liked our stay very much,so we have no complaints.

Quiet, pleasant surroundings, adults only, no pets and a small number of rooms. Problem with toilet was fixed promptly by the cheerful manager (?). The towels were large and thick. Good to have a microwave but didn't see it on their website so wasn't prepared with any crockery/cutlery.

The woman at reception was a bit grumpy, not very welcoming. The soap for the shower didn't lather, certainly didn't want to use it as shampoo, used handwash instead.

The cute little outside setting the gardens were beautiful

We have stayed here many times. It is cosy, surrounded by beautiful gardens and always clean and well-appointed. Close to the village centre, shops, pub and walking trails.
