Blue Lagoon Resort

The staff were so lovely and friendly and very accommodating.

It was extremely noisy, unfortunately the concrete building echoes every bit of sound and I heard toilets flushing all through the night. My 18 month old daughter was woken up by other noises also

Connecting rooms were very loud when closing doors, in addition neighbors were not aware there were other people staying next to them and were not considerate.

Very enjoyable stay at Blue Lagoon. Units are very spacious and the pool is lovely. Everything was maintained well and clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Access to Trinity Beach was a short walk. Easy bus service to the surrounding areas. It’s a nice quiet location (other than some very noisy birds) and there were some very good restaurants nearby. Highly recommended

Nothing to dislike, there is some aging showing in the resort but nothing too serious

The location was great. Walking distance to restaurants and the beach. The pool was awesome and my child really loves it. I booked a 1 bedroom apartment but when we arrived our room was upgraded to 2 bedrooms which was fantastic. Thanks to all the staff who were very accommodating.

Excellent, spacious well equipped apartment, property set in an attractive garden, good location, quiet but central.

Kids in the pool can give you headache.

Loved the heated swimming pool, rooms were very nice! Had good kitchen amenities. Beautiful views of lagoon.

Reception was on banker's hours, unable to get towels, would be nice to have a roll of paper towels or more kitchen towels. Location is near Trinity Beach but quite a drive from Great Barrier Reef takeoff points (30 minutes+), also this distance from airport.

I liked the location, the amenities, and the quality of the room itself.

It is misleading to call itself a resort when it is self serviced apartments. If that was how it was advertised it would be a 10/10. To have the name resort you expect to have higher levels of service.

Loved our stay at Blue Lagoon. The facilities and location was perfect. So close to the beach and restaurants. We stayed for 6 nights and plenty of room for the family. Only downfall is we should have booked a room with 2 bathrooms and it would be nice to get a change of towels if staying for a certain duration of time without charge. So close to drive up to Palm Cove and Port Douglas.Otherwise we would recommend the property and definitely hoping to come back in the future.

It was a very good location, close to Cairns, but also to Port Douglas and all the amazing beaches. Besides that, the room looked modern, was clean, and had everything we needed. We thought we could only check in at 2 p.m., but they let us check in as early as 8 a.m.

location was great out of the city but very close to travel to, Pool just out our door was great, and room was all we needed , clean, comfortable bed, was a short walk to the beach and restaurants, Staff were very helpful. would love to come back one day.

The only thing it was hard to see the block & room numbers from the road as we arrived in the night, as they were on the slide of the building not the end to see from the road. Maybe you could put another on the end of buildings. Not really a dislike just thought may help others.

Conveniently located

Room was Not clean enough. Needed a spring clean. Bathtub dirty and dust throughout, carpets dirty.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom room and it was lovely and spacious with very comfortable beds and lounge/recliners. Everything we needed was provided

The apartment was lovely, location is great and price is reasonable.Within walking distance to the beach and restaurants.

The bathroom door came off. Ran out of toilet paper. The shutter wall thing doesn't stay shut, so privacy in the bedroom is non-existent.And the trundle bed collapsed. Finding that the couch was actually a sofa, we put the trundle mattress on that every night. The fry pan in kitchen ruined pancake day, no matter how much oil we used they just stuck to the pan. ?

Location, facilities were good, kitchen well equipped, nice balcony with shutters, air con worked well, short walk to nice restaurants and a few shops.

Bed was very hard, hair dryer was so old it was useless, bathroom had no fan so got extremely hot and steamy even with window open, on our second to last day gardener was working for hours in front of our unit making plenty of noise when we wanted to relax.

Property was good and clean.

The gentleman at the receptionist is completely rude and careless. He was not hesitating to tell people off. Better to inform him and stop him from being the careless.
