Birch Resort Port Douglas

Location to our travel plans. Easy to reach,

Terrible wifi service. We had to walk up to the reservation desk to get a decent connection.

Location, pool and peaceful.

No blanket but a very light sheet to cover body and only 2 very small pillows for a couple.

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, our flight times got changed and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Rooms look recently updated, fresh and clean.

Friendly, accommodating ownerSwimming poolClean and comfortable

From start to finish, we were made to feel very welcome. The room was very clean and modern, the pool amazing, communal kitchen well stocked. Real owners, nothing fake.

Clean and conveniently located

It did not have individual serveware in the room. There was a communal kitchen with microwave and some serveware there

The pool was incredible! Also loved that they had a shared kitchen and laundry on site. Staff were very kind. Excellent value for money.

Lovely, spacious, clean room! We had 2 very comfortable beds. The pool was great and the outdoor area that is provided for use is a really nice touch. Early check in was also organised for us quickly and efficiently at no extra cost. We would definitely stay again if we came back to Port Douglas.

The smoke alarm in our room was beeping constantly - I think it needed the batteries changed. We did WhatsApp the number on reception to ask for someone to come and fix it but never got a response. Overall it wasn't a huge issue, the beeping was just slightly annoying.

Big rooms with balcony, relaxing pool, helpful staff and comfortable bed

I think this place was really great value for the money. Great location with only a 5 minute drive into the main strip in Port Douglas. Has a pool, car park and the basic amenities you would need.

Place was easy to find, clean and pool was great.

Comfy bed

The sound proof was unacceptable. We felt that we were sharing the room with the couple next door. Also none was there to welcome us. 3 night nine was at the reception

Lovely big clean room. Plenty of parking. Staff very nice & helpful.

So so

No reception upon check-in. The person answered the phone was too brief with instructions and too eager to hang up the phone while we were still asking questions.

Modern motel style accommodation, nice pool with seating and shades, a short drive from centre of port Douglas.

We were not provided with any bath towels during our stay. This may have just been an oversight on our room though as our friends had towels in their room.

Good pictures. Generally clean tiny room

Frogs in the swimming pool. Greasy everything in the communal kitchen and bbq zone. Hotel looks abandoned

The pool, the kitchen and the room atmosphere

Nothing special

Comfy beds, good shower, great location, great pool

Wifi signal in room was very weak, AC in room was struggling to run cold

The room was spacious. The pool was warm . They had a communal kitchen which we found very useful. They had complimentary laundromat which I used

Outdoor area lovely. Big bed and free washing facilities.
