    Pros +

    • Pool room size family friendly
    • The Resort outdoor facilities are absolutely beautiful, the gardern scenery breathtaking. Great eat in dinning options, the room was a comfortable space.
    • The front desk staff are wonderful especially Almu, Alan, Rachel and her supervisor. They played a great part for my stay at the resort. Almu helped us arranged for room change swifty as I gotten a bathtub shower instead of a walk-in shower, which is inconvenient and much risky as we have an elderly and a kid. Rachel and her supervisor helped to arranged for mattress change as they were all without support anymore. Their actions were quick and fuss free for me. One's stay would not be good if not for them.

    Cons -

    • More shade to be provided around pool area and very hot black times may need outdoor carpet or mats
    • The location of our room wasn't great we asked for a garden view and got to the main south carpark. The window hadnt been wiped over by cleaning staff and previous guests had written swear words on the glass. The room had a musty, overall it was a big let down for the price of the room per night.
    • The facilities are rather worn out, not the comfy 5 star resort we anticipated. The house keeping crew except a couple of male were not that particular with cleanliness. I had to request for change of bedsheet after the change of mattresses when the bedsheets were dirty when they hit our luggage wheels.

The gardens and pool were beautiful. The room was ok but a bit dated. Breakfast was good

They could have had more variety with the danish pastries and some fresh pineapple in the buffet. Apart from that, it was good.

A resort with numerous, beautiful pools. The Harrisons restaurant offered Michelin quality food at a reasonable price. Room was big and lovely. Staff was outstanding.

The hotel is about a 40 minute walk to town (we enjoyed the stroll). If we’d known, would have booked a bottom floor room where you can walk straight into a pool or lagoon.

Good location on the Four Mile Beach. Property is large, and has ample pool space.Breakfast is excellent. The gym is state of the art.The landscaping is nice. The rooms are big and comfortable, and have nice views.

I did not like the crowds. It was school break, and the pool area was filled with screaming kids and loud, drunk adults. Almost impossible to find a beach seat. Impossible to find a quiet space unless you pay an unreasonable amount for the cabanas. We got to breakfast at 7am and waited for 30min every day to get our coffee. :( In the first day there was only one beach towel in the room. We called twice for a second one, and left to the pool without a towel because they were not bringing it in time. The lagoon view room had features that looked dated. Also on the outdoor there are some areas that need some TLC.The parking was very confusing.

Exactly as depicted, a large luxurous resort, the onsite food was actually great and the amount of pools was insane! Even room service was great, highly recommend. Any minor issue we had (e.g. trying to connect our phone to TV for streaming) was fixed immediately.

nothing. maybe the lack of on site laundry, but we understand

Breakfast buffet was great! Only downside was not having hashbrowns on offer daily. Barista made coffee every morning included in the buffet. Rooms were good in terms of being spacious however when toddler was crawling on the floor knees became black suggesting that the floor is not cleaned adequately. Swimout rooms are nice for kids.

Insect bites overnight, I don’t think staff have any bug spray to use in the room. This was despite keeping doors closed religiously. Pool water level was down throughout the resort for half our stay, the hotel staff explained this was due to unforeseen circumstances but it did make out swim out room a little waste of money since it was more of a wadding pool than an adult pool. They did give some compensation $150 but the swim out room was an additional $2000 for our stay and I don’t thinkIt was worth it. The issue was resolved but it took a few days soIt was a shame we didn’t get the full experience of the great lagoon pools. Also, note the pools don’t join asOne large lagoon pool as we thought when booking. We didn’t have a good time at one resort restaurant (Italian- food that was ordered came out cold, some didn’t come out at all, we were in a group and not offered any further assistance with drink orders) but all the others were fabulous.

The hotel is great with lots of fun options for pools, as well as the beach. If you go in the summer, the air conditioning is set at 20 °C or 70°F, and your room might get very hot. The wifi is fast, and the breakfast buffet is a must.

The set temperature in the room.

    1EmilyPosted on: 7-11-2025

    Great pool as always.

Rooms dated and damp. Food waste throughout hallways. Kids crying in hallways outside rooms. Bad smell of chlorine in lagoon room. Dead bird in our pool.

    10NataliePosted on: 6-30-2025

The pool area was fantastic. Always had space and a deck chair or lounge area was available. The buffet breakfast was delicious and good variety to suit everyone’s needs and wants. The staff were all friendly and you felt welcome.

A bit more variety for dinner menus would be nice, and it was a bit expensive, but considering it’s a five star resort you expect it to cost more. No big deal as there are many dining options in town which is only a short shuttle ride away.

    3SarahPosted on: 6-9-2025

Pool was great, we had to ask numerous times for our room to be made up

A number of staff members were rude and condescending, one in particular followed me and then asked me if I was even a guest there…

    4AnnePosted on: 6-7-2025

The staff was great and so helpful

I was extremely disappointed that there was so much construction- it seemed like half the resort was closed down with big orange cones and orange fencing and yellow tape sectioning off areas. For a hotel that is costing so much, that shouldn’t happen. It really did impact the aesthetic of the entire resort. I also didn’t receive any notice that it was under construction. There shouldBe discounted prices that reflect this much of the resort being under construction Also the rooms were okay but a little outdated and dark. I also had a major sound overflow issue in my room - could hear people stomping upstairs until 2am and starting at 6am (I know this isn’t the hotels fault, but sound proofing should be better.) and sound overflow issues in general. Very noisy.

Beautiful property on the beach, with an amazing selection of pools. Short drive into town with plenty of choice for food and shopping

Could use a paint job, but nothing that affects the enjoyment of the holiday

    9JohnPosted on: 4-30-2025

Very Clean, Everything there no need to leave, Great breakfast, friendly staff and didn’t feel forced, Food at lagoon house very very nice, real nice gesture with the birthday cake in the room.

Buffet breakfast bit pricey aswell as the crisp left in the room $14 lol, pool table and balls bit disappointing, also I thought the king lagoon view room would of been closer to the main pool as that’s how the images looked, but we ended up being right in the corner no where near it but tbh am just being picky!

    Pools. Gardens.

Looking old. Rotting wood. Rusty parts.

We stay for seven nights and The breakfast staff, were always on top of things, friendly and professional.

    9DharakaPosted on: 4-26-2025

Breakfast was good. Coffee was excellent. Probably the best I had in Port Douglas. Onsite restaurants are great too.

    5AmandaPosted on: 4-20-2025

    Quite spacious

    Needs updating food poor

    10HannahPosted on: 4-11-2025

Exceptional value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great buffet breakfast. Clean and modern rooms.

There were parts of the pool that needed repairing or were being currently repaired. But it was out of season so renovations are to be expected. Also the pool was warm which made cooling down from the humidity and heat challenging at times.
