Port Douglas Peninsula Boutique Hotel - Adults Only Haven

Convenient location, truly great staff (friendly, helpful, etc), extensive amenities. Appreciated the availability of parking, beach chairs, bicycles etc even though we didn't use all that. Laundry room was helpful too and daily happy hours at the pool.

Cleanliness left quite a bit to be desired. Our box of tea was absolutely infested with ants - thousands. Surprised no one noticed this. When I brought it up at the front desk they said they'd resolve but never did.

Location and beauty

Great position- next to the beach and easy walk to town center and coles... Good to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Good the staff will help organise tours etc. liked the free airport pickup. liked the free use of bicycles- beach towels- swimming pool. nice friendly staff. nice relaxing break.

the hotel is very shabby and needs either a makeover or all the many chipped, worn and broken things fixed. It also needs a good clean, from old cobwebs everywhere and algae green umbrellas to dirty dishes and cutlery. the balcony is a high concrete wall which is too high to see over when sitting down and the sea view is mostly obscured by seafront trees.mostly acknowledged negatives from reading other reviews from years ago- but still no change?

Good location, just a short walk to the beach. The place is cosy and not too crowded. The bed was also comfortable.

Unfortunately, breakfast was quite disappointing, very limited options, and we ended up eating the same food for six days straight.The room itself was much smaller than advertised. It seems like the outdoor porch area was included in the listed size, which was a bit misleading. The photos also made the room look more modern and spacious than it actually was.Our room was located near the kitchen, which made it quite noisy—we could only get proper sleep once the kitchen closed for the night.At nearly $600 per night, it felt significantly overpriced for what was offered. I’d say it would be a reasonable place to stay if the price was closer to $200–$300 per night.

The room was amazing. We had a beach view from the room. You walk across the street and there’s the beach or you can go one block and it’s the street with all of the food. You can walk everywhere around this town. I loved the complimentary breakfast. It was a huge perk and so yummy while staying at the hotel. The A/C worked and the room was cold and comfortable.

The location was a dream. The description said across the street from the beach, but it’s a tiny street and there it is! In March it was quiet there, which made it extra wonderful. The hotel was a little boutique style with impeccably friendly service. Free parking. The breakfast was included and amazing every morning. They started a dinner service literally while we were there. Dinner was excellent and done with a lot of care. The hotel was within walking distance of the little village and some great casual restaurants/bars. Close to the marina. Beautiful warm whimsical pool. It was a great place to come home to each night or spend the day right in the neighborhood. Sad to leave paradise!

Great spot to enjoy the beach and restaurants of the port. Great balcony and exceptional pool.

Nothing much. It was very hot but the room was cool.

Breakfast was superb, and the location was excellent. Short walk to many shops and restaurants. Staff and owners were superb and nothing was too much trouble.

the location was great across the road from the beach and only a short walk to restaurants ect, the breakfeast was very good 10/10 and the staff were exellent very engaging and helpfull

the apartment has a kitchen but its not very well equiped , not good for cooking their is no exhaust fan over the hot plates ,as a result we set of the fire alarm ( not ideal)

It’s was absolutely beautiful, open and welcoming with lovely little touches.

The included breakfast was amazing but we must have asked every waitress (about 4) the whereabouts of our second coffee and had to wait 40 minutes to receive it.

Excellent Hotel with only 36 rooms comfortable 1 bed apartment overlooking the pool.Spacious pool area and a delicious breakfast each day. 50 meters from 4mile beach and an easy walk to all the shops and bars on Macrossan St.

Amazing location, spacious clean rooms, attentive staff, brilliant food. Very well managed.

Should have stayed longer then 3 nights.
