Central Plaza Port Douglas

Pool was fabulous and while our room overlooked the pool on the first floor, there was very little noise when we were inside. Everything was clean and the apartment had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent and was in walking distance to the main street and beach .

We liked everything about our apartment and would stay here again.

Provide a couple of clothes hooks in the bathroom. Install exhaust fans to bathrooms.

Rude reception staff, made us feel extremely unwelcome.

The reception staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. We book for 7 people (3 bedrooms and a trundle bed) and when we get there the trundle wasn’t set up, we came after hours so I went down in the morning and the owner was so rude and unkind about it. Wanted to charge me an extra $45 per night for additional sheets.

Spacious unit with all the amenities. Nice swimming pool and spa pool. BBQ facilities besides the pool.

The Central Plaza was very close to restaurants/cafes within walking distance (two blocks). The Motel was very clean and spacious the staff were very friendly and helpful communication was excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable and great pillows. Really nice place to stay. Room was very quiet considering we were right in front of pool. But if you didn't want to here just needed to shut door. We like this location as only about ten/fifteen minutes to main street or Marina. Overall, would definitely recommend. Pool was clean and good size hot tub was great. Very nice, allocated room and spacious. Everything you needed for kitchen etc.

The unit was big, comfortable, and stocked with most items that one would require whilst on a holiday. The location of the property was ideal to be able to walk into the main street and back.

Location was excellent, only a short walk to town and far enough away to be away from any noise. We were lucky enough to have the pool view unit which was on the ground level overlooking the pool, which was fantastic.We used the BBQ one night, which was great not to have to eat out.

Pool area was lovely with the BBQ area their great spot just needed a skimming of leaves every day.

We loved staying here. The apartment was so clean and fresh. It had everything we needed and more. The furniture was really lovely and there were so many finishing touches that made it an enjoyable stay. The pool was beautiful and the location to everything was perfect. Easily walk or drive to restaurants and the beach, and really easy to get out for day trips. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was really quiet overnight. We cannot wait to come back!

We had a 3 bedroom apartment that was stuffy. The fans in the living area would not work on the appropriate speed settings, there was no functioning window in the 2nd bedroom, and the exhaust fan in the internalised bathroom wasn’t working. The apartment was superficially clean, however, the dirty underpants found under the curtains in the 2nd bedroom were consistent with the lack of the rigorous approach required. 4 days later, I have yet to hear from the on-site manager as promised. So, overall, disappointing.

Had everything we needed, was clean and tidy. Was in a great central location.

Nice place in the heart of Port Douglas. Good sized pool that includes a hot SPA and a large bbq. 10 minutes walk to the centre, 5 to Four Mile beach. We stayed in a double bedroom with SPA. Apartment was really spacious and with all the facilities that you might need. Bathrooms are large as well and the balcony is quite nice.

Cleaning was ok but not perfect, especially the floors. Natural light was really missing as the apartment, at least our at ground floor, was quite dark. Needed to turn on the lights almost the whole day.

The heated pool was fantastic. Great barbecue area. The pool was a good size and plenty of chairs and umbrellas around the pool
