Discovery Parks - Lake Kununurra

The view of the lake from our cabins was great. beautiful sunset .Excellent Aircon, comfy bed good shower quiet area not too far from town centre. The manager Aaron was very helpful when our TV wasn't working and came over to fix it straight away. Thank you ..The lady in the office was very friendly and great at helping us decide on a tour. Did the Ord River lunch tour pick up just out front of our room . The tour was great .I would definitely recommend staying here .

Not much space to put the luggage.. some fold out luggage holders would be helpful

Location was good and plenty of parking

How dirty the room was, aircon filters were that clogged hadn’t been cleaned for months. Around the base of shower screen is slimey with scum Front verandah full of dirt

Very spacious cabin for a family, basic but clean and had everything we needed. Grounds are lovely, lots of shade and spots to fish from the banks of the lake.

For $300 a night it would have been nice if we didn’t have to put the sheets on the bunk beds for the kids. That was an unnecessary hassle. At least put the fitted sheet on for us!! It was also a shame that several of the communal bbqs did not work- in fact only one bbq was operational that we could find. A kiosk or cafe on site would also be a welcome addition!

Shower leaked, told staff but spoke to the kids instead and fobbed off the concern. Wanted to show you before it got worse and the busy season set upon you.

The catering facilities were great so we could cook for ourselves. The staff were super helpful at check in

The property could have been a little cleaner and the bed was on wheels so kept moving

the slightly musty smell in the bungalowthe danger of stepping on a poisonous toad while going to the toilet, or the shower but I was lucky during the 5 days.

We arrived after hours and had a text message that explained the late check in process. It was easy and very well organised. We stayed at cabin and it was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Great value for money and will be staying here again.

Great location and amenities

Payed for 8 bed cabin on the river, only got a 2 bedroom cabin with 3 single beds in one room and a double bed in the other, staff did not go over and above to sort it out or give a discount. Was told the cabin we had booked the roof fell down? Not sure if this is the case.

Location on the water front was excellent. Essentials provided and the bed was very comfortable.

Easy to get in and out, great little cabin. Quiet and peaceful.

Wifi was unexpectedly good, unfortunately the pool was out of order but cabin is large, comfortable and roomy. Great cooking facilities. Close to the pump house when it is open.

Pool was closed sadly, lots closed due to wet season.

Visit here many times and always love the location

The cabin was filthy, the paint is all peeling and there is a strong smell of mould

No hot water! Cold showers and cold water for washing up dishes.

Mould in and on the tiles in the shower , needs a good scrub.

The location was outstanding, our cabin was on the lake, it had everything we needed, great finishes, and a very functional layout. The park itself was well maintained, with all the amenities - pool, laundry, BBQs, fish cleaning stations. The thing I loved most was the fact that the washing machines had a card tap option instead of trying to get coins. We had a very comfortable stay and would love to come back.

Nice lake

The room was dirty, looked like it had not been cleaned in a while, cobwebs everywhere, broken blinds missing slats. No bedroom door or side tables. No actual ceiling even above the bathroom, just walls and a roof. Dosnt look like photos. Beds not made, had to make them ourselves. . Went to have a shower and the water coming out of the taps were dirty. We couldn't have a shower or use any water. Checked the main toilet block and the water out of tap was also dirty. Worst place we have ever stayed.

The property was on Kununurra lake. Close to the Pumphouse restaurant. Beautiful surroundings. Easy drive into down town Kununurra

No staff engagement as it was low season, shops, offices closed
