Glen Innes Motel

I've stayed there before, so knew what to expect. Good value for money and nice cosy rooms with quite a large bathroom (at least in room 5).

The parking outside the rooms is a little tight with pillars that hold up the awning (I think) spaced along the front of the rooms. It's easier to reverse in, but this is sometimes frowned upon, but I think it's okay here. The location (about 1.5km to 2km from town) may be a bit of a turn-off for some, it is a long return walk, but that's generally known when booking.

Easy check in and check out, cleanliness, undercover parking directly outside the room, easy walk into town.

From the outside it looks like a very basic old style motel, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean. Everything we needed was provided. The beds were very comfortable, and despite being on the main road, it was very quiet in the room. Very little traffic noise, and we couldn't hear our neighbours at all. Our host was very nice, and clearly interested in making their guest feel comfortable and welcome.Bonus 1 - undercover parking at our door. A blessing during the unexpected hail storm that evening.Bonus 2 - very substantial breakfast included in the surprisingly economical room rate. The breakfast room was a delight, original country style architectural features like a charming pressed metal ceiling and exposed beams.Bonus 3 - we didn't feel like going out that night, but there is a take-away right across the road with generous meals

Rooms smaller than usual motels but still quite comfortable for an overnight and understandable for a very reasonable tariff.

Great position, nice room, comfy bed. Had everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic.

There were some marks/stains on our sheets.

The reception and service we received were far in excess of what I had expected for a budget motel. The breakfast was excellent, service friendly and the room comfortable.

Very clean room, small but comfortable, excellent air conditioning and electric blankets for winter, even though on the Highway very little noise after 9pm. I didn’t go to Breakfast.

We had a budget double which was very good value. Continental breakfast was included in the price. The staff were very happy, friendly and helpful .Was close to the restaurant for dinner

I've only taken some points off for the truck's on the highway which can't be helped and I'm pretty sure all the motels in Glen Innes are on the highway so there's no avoiding it.

The room was comfortable and a good size, adequate seating.. Having the microwave & other appliances necessary was a bonus. We were warm and the bed was comfortable for a good night sleep in normal conditions.

Location to the road made it noisey with passing trucks especially. The outside light at the front of the room was kept on until late and lit up our room.

Breakfast is more than adequate. Lovely location and very convenient.

From check-in we found the motel to be a clean, convenient and a welcoming place to stay. Our room was located at the back of the property, so no trouble with traffic noise. Good provision of crockery and cutlery meant we could heat 'n eat meals in the microwave.The breakfast room was a welcome addition and provided a very good choice of cereals/toast/yoghurt and fresh fruit, along with juices, tea and coffee.
