Ballina Byron Islander Resort and Conference Centre

It was a last minute overnight stay. Well priced. Close enough to everything we needed. Will definitely go back & stay longer.

It was perfect for all our needs.

This is a large property with many facilities. We were pleased by the excellence of the food in its large restaurant. We must not forget to mention othe cheerfulness and helpfulness of the owners. The property is on the main road and easy to find.

Just basic room, but very clean, and very friendly staff.

A delightful surprise to find such a friendly atmosphere. The new owners have done an amazing job in the two months since they arrived. The husband/wife team are giving attention to the small details that make a big difference. Excellent recommendation.

When programming your GPS, note the location for this excellent hotel is WEST Ballina.

I found this place quite comfortable and friendly. I actually returned a few days later because I enjoyed it so much. The rooms felt spacious, the location was great (just up the road from the big prawn), and the buffet dinner at on site? So lovely! I booked for the included dinner and was not disappointed.

The room was well organised and a good size for 2-3 people. It was clean, neat and tidy. The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. The lady on Reception was lovely and very helpful.

The continental breakfast was very basic but good value for the stay and dine package. The staff were very helpful in enabling a pizza for room service despite us being delayed and arriving after the all you can eat experience closed.

It is an older style motel, but the clean fresh paint is very welcoming on the outside, and the cleanliness inside is great. There were a lot of people staying, but it was very quiet, and we heard no outside noise. The all you can eat soup, pasta, pizza and dessert was very good.

Quick and instant late night checkin after our other accommodation wasn’t suitable. Booked at 10:30pm and by the time we arrived 20mins later keys were in key box ready for easy access

There wasn’t anything bad about the property, everything was amazing

The tropical gardens. The cleanliness of the whole place.

Having to ask for crossoints at breakfast each morning. Not having a bath mat in the room.

The pool, location and included continental breakfast. The actual surrounding of the rooms were lovely, peaceful and well maintained.

Our room didn’t seem to be one of the recently refurbished rooms and didn’t reflect the photo. We had to use our shoulder to open the door and force to close it. I caught my hand on the latch trying to close the door and tore a lap of skin off the back of my hand. The receptionist couldn’t find the first aid kit but eventually located it while we were at breakfast and bought me a few bandaids- she did ask what room we were in

Very clean, fresh, and welcoming!The place was spotless, smelt amazing, and had a really warm, inviting atmosphere. It was such a wonderful place to stay — comfortable, relaxing, and clearly well cared for. I’d happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience.

The second time we've stayed at this Resort, and both times the experience terrific. The rooms are spacious the bed large and comfortable the facilities in the room are excellent. The resort also provides a wonderful pool.

GREAT spot, fantastic for secure parking with trailer. Easy access, no hassle check in after hours. This was last min booking travelling down the coast.

I was happy with stay, no complaints and would happily stay again when travelling.

The quietness of the room. The bed was super comfy and very large. Everything was spotless.The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful.I would 100% recommend Ballina Byron Islander Resort. I would definitely stay there again, if the opportunity arose.

Only fault was a sad mattress on bed.

Good location, adequate for a short stay especially if only sleeping there.

Rooms need updating certainly not 'resort' standard or feel.
