Slipway Hotel Motel

Advertised as being riverfront, but this is no longer the case. There is a Ramada complex between the the Slipway and the river.

Easy going staff and efficient

Bed sheets were cleaned but had stain marks on them ? No microwave.

The staff went out of their way to give us microwave and toaster

No toaster or microwave on hand especially staying for more than one night

Put in a room upstairs(my wife is disabled)when inquiring about ground floor room was bluntly told no staff was rude

Quite roomy. Basic, not luxurious but clean and quite well laid out. Supplied tea, coffee, tissues, etc. Staff very helpful. Easy to find places to eat. Hotel itself had good cheap meals.

Pillows were really flat.

I found the locks on the doors did not work properly.Took a long time for the hot water to come from the shower.

Close to everything in Ballina.Pleasant staff.

Room smelled of bleach constantly.

The Location was good and Staff were courteous , The food in the Hotel Bistro was Quite good

I was not able to enter the attached Hotel directly but had to access it up a laneway in the rain to a side enterence. Parking in front of the Motel unit was on crusher dust when wet stuck to your shoes and short of taking my shoes off in the rain I couldnt help but to walk it into the room which then stuck to your feet in walking around the room. The shower bathroom was the smallest that I have ever struck in all of my travels. I also had to stand on a chair to turn on the airconditioning as there was no remote

There was an old pear core in the sheets when we arrived. And the shower head wasn't tight enough, so kept falling against the wall.

Great value for price. Simple and old but right on the main street of Ballina. Quiet at night. Staff very friendly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful made me feel very welcomed on my arrival and check out could of been made later.i was told I'll be back for a feed and a few beers thanks again for your help and knowledgeable advice

Cockroaches everywhere and dirty room unclean bedding poor value for what there was

bar fridge was not operationaltoilet leaking around the baseunit smelt of mould / moisture

Very disappointed there was no microwave, I would have stayed longer if there was one.

It was a very nice place, Also Very easy to find and it’s close to everything.The staff at the bar were very helpful and kind, great people.

Nothing it’s quite run down and grotty

The black mold on the ceilings, lack of extra blankets or pillows. The smell of the unit was unpleasant the sheets were not clean.

Location

Good accommodation. We have stayed here before, however on this occasion there was a water issue in the adjacent room. The water also affected our room we did not discover until later. There was no staff around by then as the hotel was closed.

Pillows were terrible, needed 3 to be comfortable, they need to be changed.
