Scarborough Beach Resort Brisbane

The water views from the bedrooms & both balconies were lovely. The 3 br unit was large in size, and the master bedroom had its own couch. Location was perfect for going for walks along the beach, cafes & shopping. We loved the spa, gym & sauna at the property.

The shower was relatively cold, we struggled to stand under it. There was absolutely minimal products provided considering the cost of the apartment.

Location is great

Wifi not enabled on TV as promised to access Foxtel and Netflix. Toilet cistern dual flush not working. Advised staff and not rectified as promised. Entire building is NO SMOKING over emphasised and punishable..very harsh and unnecessary. Initially booking images showed balcony, only upon completion of the booking was I aware that there was "only a window" and it was tiny.

Loved the facilities, roof top, pool spa and location as we grew up in Scarborough. Cleanliness.

Trying to enjoy our last night before work next morning, but had a couple arguing in the pool area.

Room was quite nice, however had no balcony access or a view. Staff were great as was the pool area.

A better view and room needed some minor repairs.

The room was lovely and sitting on the balcony was very relaxing

We would have given this property an "excellent" rating in all areas however:1. The shower/bath had a couple issues. The hand rail to assist getting into the shower and expect to be able to use (which was over a highish bath) fell off when grabbing it. I would be surprised if this hasn't been mentioned before and would hate for an elderly person to have a fall due to this.2. The shower head when adjusted fell off its holder. There is tape around it so I can only presume this may an ongoing issue.

Good location & the spa & swimming pool are great we enjoyed it .

The only thing that we didn’t like is the bed too old and sunken down when you’re laying on it not comfortable to sleep. Needs to be replace .

The sofa had been replaced. It was so hard to sit on and very uncomfortable

It was a quick and simple process to check in. The room was nice, close to beach and all amenities.

Large living space, large balcony, on the water, separate bedroom

Lumpy uncomfortable bed, thinnest of towels, cheapest of thin toilet paper, one thin piece of soap for two people for 5 nights ! Smallest of shampoo bottle provided, would have been better to provide nothing. The ne air-conditioner struggles to cool bedroom and living space, cannot close bedroom door as sircon is in living area. Two separate units with similar unit numbers sharing one car space, had to park in visitor spot and hope available when we got in every evening. Essentially the unit itself wa okay but the management pays no attention to the little things which have added up on this occasion. Would have been to tell us to park elsewhere then leave us thinking someone else always parking in our space.

Location, quiet 100 metres to beach, grocery store and post office. Value for money.

Great location. Generous unit. Some of the units have different layouts. This 1 Bed was fantastic. Perfect location food and beach. Loved it.

Close to beaches Good location Easy access into building

There were some dust on the table near the window ,I could hear the neighbours which was intimidating because they had a much better apartment couldn’t open the window and it was louder than the tv ,The towels rest should be changed after couple of days,The room was really small

We were upgraded to a three bedroom apartment even though we didn't need a three bedroom for 2 of us, but it was a lovely apartment, with water views from the bedrooms. Beds were good and the apartment had everything that you need to stay a few days or for a few weeks, very comfortable. Pool and spa and gym area are also good.

Only negative is how early reception closes.

The room was lovely and very comfortable.The Manager was very helpful and knowledgeable. We had a broken ironing board and he corrected this problem immediately.

We were supposed to have an allocated parking spot but the owner of the apartment parked there, so we circled for a visitors spot each day.Check in was a nightmare, it was Sunday and was via an intercom. We couldn't hear as the restaurant patrons were enjoying their Sunday. We had to hold on for a very long time and when we did get through they had to rung us back and didn't so we rang the number a couple of times until we got someone who understood that we had already completed our check in on line and paid our bond. We had a surprise party for our son to get to and this held us up greatly and was very upsetting. We got in the lift and did not know we had to scan our fob. Thought the lift was broken. What a traumatic start.

Disappointing

The room was dark and cramped. There was a window at the end that just looked onto concrete. It was not possible to open the window. It appeared that a hasty renovation had occurred with one unit converted to two in a 'thrown together' manner. The finish was poor. The bed was just a base and matress against the wall. It moved and rolled.The shower floor in the tiny ensuite was covered in very shiny, polished tiles, the same as on the ensuite floor. We are not elderly, but this is a dangerous trip hazard and it was extremely slippery. This room is not safe for those with mobility difficulties. The property demanded a $200 deposit which was a bond against having the room checked and then potentially returned to your account.The list of rules and instructions was lengthy. I asked the reception attendant where to eat nearby and she said it was in the book in the room. This was not the case. The book listed a whole lot of requirements and 'do's and dont's' to ensure your bond was returned. When we went to leave, the reception attendant took our key but did not tell us there was a process to leave. After going up and down in the lift, we went back to the reception attendant who stated, 'Oh you need to have the fob to get out. Didn't they tell you that last night?'.The corridors were stale and dim. The property is dated and is in need of attention. I would not recommend this property to anyone. It is the poorest accommodation we have experienced in ten years of travel.

Very clean and modern apartment with plenty of cooking pans and crockery and cutlery. Nice and handy location with ample parking. Staff were happy and very helpful to provide extra soap and bags

Missing common items like a broom and mop to keep clean for the week. Provide one tiny bar of soap and one replacement plastic bag for garbage which was an issue as everything had to be bagged for disposal. Even though the staff very quick to provide extra we still had to go and find someone to ask. Also the pool floor was old and the stones very sharp and cut my toe

Great location, across the road from the beach!

The air con played up. Air con kept turning off and did not cool down the room regardless if we tried to adjust the temperature.

We loved the location and the room was clean. The pool area is nice for a little dip.

Sadly, the bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on all week. The doors made a crazy amount of noise in the studio apartment hallway.
