    • The bed in the granny flat was so comfy
    • The cabin was warm and comfortable. Tania (staff member) wonderful and friendly, really made us feel at home and welcome. There were farm animals a games room, good sized shared facilities. The campground was lovely and clean loved the layout, grounds kept immaculate, we had peace and privacy, great stay, thank you so much!
    • Was close to our fishing spots

    Cons -

    • Needed to be a bit cleaner, there was a big cockroach in the toaster and there was spiders and webs, and the outside of toilet needs cleaning and shower could do with a good scrub
    • All was good but the internet was difficult... was good when we found out bout the shower button..
    • The kitchen was the only space that was no really clean.

Supermarket and gas station really close. 1 hr to cape reinga. 15 minutes to helderson beach, amazing beach to visit! I recommend it

Relaxed atmosphere, quiet surroundings, good for exploring the far north, good for kitchen facilities. Good suggestions on places to visit.

Not as good value compared to some other places we have stayed at.

As we were visiting family in the area, we didnt spend a lot of time here but the toilets and showers were clean. Kitchen had all you needed.

Getting use to a 5 min shower but it is possible!

We booked a simple cabin, it had more than we expected in it. There was terrible weather during our stay however our cabin was warm and comfortable.

Farm animals were great for my 7yo daughter, and they have a little tree house. Very friendly staff and nice clean facilities. Perfect location near supermarket and short drives to 90 mile beach, cape reinga, te paki sand dunes or hohoura heads.

It has a lovely view. You have everything you need, but I wish there were more trees for shade, especially for the tents.

It was a bit smaller than we thought; it looked spacious when we saw the picture. But when we went there, it was more accommodating for camper vans than tents

Great old school camp. The tourist cabin was immaculate. Great location near the Pukenui wharf and Four SquareThe camp cat was beautiful company

The rooms are very comfortable and large. The shared kitchen area, bathrooms and social area appeared to be great for those who took part in using them. The farm animals area was also super cute however the chickens made a ton of noise in the morning which woke me earlier than hoped.

The wifi didn't work when we arrived - not the park's fault. But when we stopped by the staff didn't mention needing a password when it did turn on. When the wifi started working again mid-night, we ended up paying for the wifi as the office was closed. In the morning, when we asked for the code to access our "included wifi" the option to enter the code was no longer available as we had already paid for access. No, not an expensive issue, but still, just a pain. We had already paid for internet and all I needed was to get good directions to our next spot, but the internet which was 'included' in our reservation was no longer able to be accessed. a minor but impactful inconvenience.

Location, cooking facilities, fish cleaning station and the animals

Being in the middle cabins, we could hear the neighbours on both sides, when they closed the cabin doors it reverberated through our cabin.

We drove from Auckland heading to Cape Reinga. We wanted to stop as north as we could so we can reach Cape Reinga Lighthouse early but at the same time wanted somewhere that didn’t feel so remote. The location is perfect and convenient as there is a restaurant and a four square nearby.
