Room was clean, facilities were satisfactory, and it was very quiet as the pub was closed.

Communications for an unstaffed check were poor. Communications only came after numerous follow-ups and did not include details of which door had the code pad which was difficult to find in the dark. Other than the poor Communications, everything else was good.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff and great food at the pub!

Wifi reception was a bit slow, but was expected given the remote location.

Cute old style hotel. Good parking. Good Wi-fi. Good Air con and heating in room.

My TV didn't work at all (no signal message on screen). Small, old fridge was very noisy, so I think it needs replacing.

I think that we have learnt one of Australian's humble culture as to how to stay on a traditional hotel with accommodation and restaurant and occasionally drinking a cup of beer in one place.

Rather, I would like suggest to improve usability of the shared facility room, which is comprised of merely laundry and a sink basin.For examples, - if the electric range currently hidden in the storage room move to the common shared area.- sink with washing tray and washing liquid provided.- some basic cutterly to borrow or advertise customers to bring own, etc.

The whole atmosphere was extremely good. Very good accommodation with the rooms very nice and comfortable and staff were very forthcoming and helpful in providing the essential items asked for.. And totally enjoyed our meals.

No complaints as I found everything to be in good order.

Staff were friendly, the pub food was very good value for money and big meals. The rooms were clean, shower was a good size and water pressure was great. The bed was extremely comfortable.

The Olympics were on the TV in the bar.

Friendly staff, good value accomodation. We had dinner at the pub before talking the kids down to the cabin. The heaters had been put on so the place was warm and welcoming when we arrived. Food was great and very good value. Great place to stop and break up the trip. Will stay again.

Shared bathroom is a little inconvenient

I was in Room 1 and I really did like all the period features in the room, such as the fireplace, doors, fanlight, hardware and trims which I was not expecting. That was lovely to see. The rooms and the hotel have such potential and could be great with the introduction of some rich heritage interior colours.The meals from the Bistro were huge and delicious. It was good to sit in the bar and interact with the locals.

The main problem is I was right at the top of the stairs and the draught of cold air from the main stairwell even when the front doors were closed overwhelmed the air con in the room to the point there was no effective heat to warm the room and it was freezing. I had to go to bed fully clothed and still the draught was almost unbearable.This would be easily fixed with some weather seals installed on the door jamb to seal the gaps around the door. I would hate to see the original doors replaced so the weather seal is the best solution. You can get ones that are attached to an L bracket and fit snug against the closed door on the outside.

A classic country pub. Nice people, good food, a good nights sleep. Happy to come back.

It is a country pub - the bar thins out a bit past 9.00 pm but it has a great vibe.

It was a very last minute decision to book this accommodation as our original airbnb was booked on wrong date. Staff were very nice to wait for us to check in even though they were close for the day. I was amazed by the property, it was clean, bed was comfy, and has a kitchenette, netflix to keep my child entertained. Everything was superb…. Thank you for accommodating our last min booking.

Hotel was closed before I got back at 7.15pm on a Thursday night. No food. No drinks.

Extremely quiet town with nothing much available food-wise. Definitely need a car. Pleasant enough for a one night stay for the price. Did feel like it needed a deep clean (carpets, curtains etc)

The staff were amazing and very helpful. Our twin room was comfy and had all we needed. Would stay there again if passing through :)

Staff went out of their way to look after us as we came in late and there were no food options in town.

got to the hotel 1 hour before close of check in and premises were locked up. Unable to contact as phone was disconnected. Fortunately I sent a message via booking.com and that was responded to.

It’s was a no fuss, cute little pub. Great location just outside of Bathurst. The staff were so lovely, the locals were funny and the food was actually great! Great prices for a fresh made Schnitty. Plus, $7 beers which is a BARGIN.
