    Pros +

    • The restaurant Rick Stein.
    • Breakfast was plentiful and fresh.Location ideal for a restful break.
    • The food

    Cons -

    • No cutlery and microwave oven in the room.Cheeky Dog restauarant need to improve their food. I believe it was a new menu.Parking area needs to be better. So narrow and dangerously windy coming up the hill. Nearlyy had a head on collision. Also people are impatient while waiting for car space up the top of carpark area So narrow that you can't move.
    • The shower was fixed so close to the wall you could not turn the hand held shower head anywhere, it could only flow water into the shower corner. Difficult to get under. Very awkward showering. Plus there were two corners of the recess heavily mouldy.
    • Our room was promoted as a premium suite. The chesterfield cover was dirty. Gernally the room needed a noodle make over. .. everything was old and worn.. Our shower had black mold along the bottom of the glass. In the same shower the electrical switch cover for the lights, fan and heating bulb had multiple cracks all over it definitely not good in 220 volt shower. Under the sink the chrome cover had been half painted, poor workmanship.

Beautifully set out, great staff, great facilities and we loved the pool.

Id love to be able to bring my family here one day, but it was only affordable with a group of friends

We loved our stay! The pool was fabulous and the restaurants are awesome. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. The room had everything we needed for a two night stay and the beds were comfortable.

Situated in a peaceful and natural setting, staff were very good, breakfast was good, restaurant food was well above average, the resident kookaburra amazed us that it came so close to us.

    Little to dislike

Disappointed. Noisy from room next door. Staff were lovely and did their best.Food was so expensive and not up to the Signature Rick Stein. Sorry.

    5PhilPosted on: 3-28-2025

The room was roomy and confortable

The staff were not that interested in the guests. At checkin we stood waiting to be served. A staff member did not acknowledge we were there and only did when promped by another staff member. In Julio;s they did not clear glasses from tables and staff were noisy and rachous

All the reception staff were delightful.Tbey were friendly and very helpful. The pool area was wonderful, loved the views from the affinity pool. Loved the Rick Stein restaurant and again tbe staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was superb. Very comfotable bed, great balcony area with lovely views.

The two female staff working in Julios could do with some customer service training. Their attitude was of exasperation with customers, things sermed too much trouble and tbey weren't interested in naking it the best experience. There was a similar attitude with some of the breakfast staff. Smiling was an effort.

Our room overlooking the water was lovely, such a relaxing environment.Dinner in Cheeky Dog restaurant was fine, the space was a bit barn like, but the barramundi was cooked superbly better than the blue eye cod at Rick Steins which was overcooked. The bed was comfortable and all amenities were good. The staff were friendly and helpful, and enjoyed the welcome glasses of bubbly.

    8NeilPosted on: 3-5-2025

Overall aesthetics, ambiance and lovely staff

Location, lack of a proper beach and quite a cramped pool area

    5ChristopherPosted on: 3-1-2025

The View and alternatives to Rick Stein Restaurant.

Overpriced, overrated. Stein's restaurant prices were over the top Local fish $48.00 incl. sauce plus you had to add chips $14.00 & a mixed leaf salad $12.00 total $74.00 just for a main. no entree or dessert. $$$$$$$

Loved the location and the room was so very comfortable. The staff were really helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay again.

Would love to see a handrail for getting in and out of the pool.

Comfortable rooms great pool and quiet location Choice of restaurants and breakfast was good value

Limited parking a long way from roomHard to find way around limited information on amenities given so did not feel very welcoming to new guests

Loved everything about our stay with one exception, as below

At Cheeky Dog around 8.45pm with only one other table occupied and their meal served, we entered and ordered a dessert. We waited too long for it to arrive given these circumstances - didn't time it but a good 20 minutes. It appeared once the waiter went to check on it for us.
