    Pros +

    • The location was good and the room we stayed in was very spacious.
    • The location is excellent and the property has good bones. It’s well positioned, easy to access, and has the potential to be a very comfortable stay. The grounds and overall setting are still appealing, and we have enjoyed staying here in the past.
    • The room was bathed in abundant sunlight, enhancing the inviting atmosphere and ensuring a truly enjoyable and comfortable stay.

    Cons -

    • The cleanliness of the pool and around the pool area
    • Compared to our previous stay, the property felt tired and in need of a refresh. The room was fairly average, and during our stay there was no housekeeping service—no room clean or fresh towels provided. Given the very high price at this time of year, this was disappointing and did not feel reflective of the cost.
    • Housekeeping was okay. On second day when the housekeeper came to clean the room, we weren't ready, so we asked if they could return later. The response we received was that the housekeeper's shift was ending soon, so my daughter only requested fresh towels. Given that we are paying $750 per night during peak season, there should be more flexibility in accommodating our request. Additionally, there was no hand soap on the first day, and although we asked the reception to have it replaced, the houseman used his key to open the door without knocking or asking for permission.

Do not recommend! We have stayed at multiple of the Oaks hotels now and have never had a bad experience until this one which we will never return to this one again.

Over $3000 for 3 nights and you get poo & boogers! From poo on the bathroom wall, large green boogers on multiple walls and what looked like blood snot on the sink, food and liquid on kitchen floor, mould inside the washing machine, rubbish all over the ground and as having a crawling baby with us it wasn’t a great start, pieces of plastic, popped broken balloons, clothing tags and other plastic and paper items all ranging from tiny up to 20 cent size pieces scattered all over the floor. I went to reception where the manager I think he was who was very helpful apologized multiple times and arranged a cleaner, the said cleaner came with one cloth and wiped the poo down the walls and one of the large green boogers off the wall with the same cloth than I asked about the vacuuming and he made a remark that he would ‘have’ to go get he vacuum and made it very clear it was a inconvenience. We left to run to the supermarket and upon arriving back it was not vacuumed nor cleaned. I returned to reception and asked if we were able to please get a refund which the manager agreed and was very understanding and apologized again.

The pool area is beautiful, designed like a river winding around the resort, which creates a lovely atmosphere. However, getting in and out of the pool was quite uncomfortable for all of us. There are no steps or ladders, so the only way to enter is by jumping in, and getting out is even more difficult. The pool wall is around 1.3 meters high, which makes climbing out quite challenging- especially for older guests. Even some much younger and heavier girls had to try several times before managing to get out. It felt a bit unsafe and could easily lead to an accident.

Large apartment with large main bedroom. The bed was very comfortable. View of pool and the pool itself. Tennis, gym, sauna

could have been a little cleaner. The cleaners entered our apartment whilst we were not there.

Guests can enjoy a sparkling blue pool throughout the property with an outdoor Jacuzzi. Spacious family room with plenty of natural light, along with a King bed with plush bedding for a restful night’s sleep.

Loved the swim out apartment we were in and the fact the pool just went all the way around the property. It’s not deep 1.1 meters so kids can go in while you sit on your balcony. Having the swim out option we were able to get up and straight in the pool. If we needed our room we were right there.

There’s only one restaurant on site and wasn’t open all day. The restaurant is independent and not run by the Oaks do not their fault. We went there for dinner one night but found it a bit expensive but the food was good.

The HUGE pool and spas complete with palm trees are very impressive. All immaculate and clean and the gardens with nothing out of place. Huge room and big comfy bed. Loved the full length shutters at the windows.

It was almost too immaculate with not a bird or lizard or insect in sight. I guess some people like it that way - especially with that beautiful, huge pool.We were in the hotel rooms and they do seem to have thin walls. Quite clearly here when someone turns the shower on next door. I don't think the hotel was full, so I was surprised when there was 3 separate rooms booked next door to each other. It would have been nice to leave one room empty inbetween (if possible and not booked) as it would have cut down the noise and privacy. Saying that, we still enjoyed our stay and wish we had had more time to enjoy the facilities.

Rooms very spacious. Kitchen was well stocked. Good facilities but due to our short stay we didn’t really utilize it. Location is fab

Sound proofing was pretty bad, can hear the neighbors quite clearly. Housekeeping emptied the bins but didn’t close our door, we came home with the front door wide open.

Great location (next to shopping mall). Very nice pool and facilities. Spacious apartment and direct access to the lagoon.

The toilet doors cannot be closed.

The massive bed was super comfortable and we had a great experience. The staff were welcoming and kind. Attended to our every need and they even gave us a little welcome gift for our anniversary. We were offered a bottle of wine but we don’t drink so they gave us a little box of chocolates instead. Our room was also upgraded to a poolside view instead of car park view.

It was easy to access with parking and getting to our room so we had no faults with the hotel! We’ll definitely stay again!

You know you could swim their outdoor pool and enjoy it all day long. Vey comfortable and quiet location.

    Nothing. Everything was great!

    The location is very strategic

I was very disappointed with this property. The price I paid was absolutely not justified by the condition of the place. It was extremely dusty throughout, as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. This is unacceptable, especially considering the amount charged. Cleanliness should be the most basic standard for any property being rented out. I expected much better for the price, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet even the minimum expectations. I do not recommend this property unless significant improvements are made.

Our second time staying at the Oaks port stephens pacific blue resort. And we will definitely stay here again. Every time has been an amazing stay. We love the facilities, the resort pool, and the spa. The 1 bedroom apartments are spacious and clean. The on-site restaurant is great. The staff are so helpful and accommodating. I honestly can't fault anything. We can't wait to come back in the summer.

    9MatthewPosted on: 6-21-2025

good room set up with everything you need, bed was very comfortable, there was a bath and the pool was just outside the room with great access- I got upgraded to poolside for no extra cost

Room furnishings a little outdated, TV very small

    9HayleyPosted on: 4-30-2025

Clean and quiet. Loved the pools.

Pool was a tad cold for April. Would be good over the warmer months.

    6DeborahPosted on: 4-28-2025

The bed was fantastic, a very comfortable king size. The room had all I expected it to have. The view was lovely and being able to go straight out to the pool was wonderful. The other facilities were very good too. We had dinner at the restaurant and the staff and food were amazing. It was such a lovely night. The pool was fun too.

The television was too small. The lounge was stained and not something that I wanted to sit on. I found a pubic hair in the bath, that wasn’t mine, the refrigerator was not wiped out from last guests. The bathroom shower leaked water from the bottom of the cubicle when showering so you had a wet bath mat even before you stepped out from your shower. It was also a little mouldy where the water leaks. If I was being really fussy the water pressure wasn’t great either. In the kitchen there is a kick board missing from the cupboard with the hot water system is kept. Unfinished look not nice.

It’s a good location, great pools, good for the kids, spacious room.

Awful smell through corridors and in our bathroom ( like using strong sanitizer mixed with cheap room freshener)Some sheets were stained, poorly made beds, and all over signs of wear and tear. Restaurant quite pricey and not worth it.

The staff were so kind, the room was clean and thr bed was like a cloud
