Bull and Bush Hotel

It's situated at the village shopping centre. Plenty of food and drink options. Nice and clean room with all working amenities.

The beds were too soft. There are no dedicated spots to park the car. And not all cars can be accommodated in the space near the rooms. Late arrivals may need to park at the lot near the pub. All the food options close early, by 9pm. Even the Dominos and KFC close at 9:30, in summer (Jan).The checkin experience was disappointing. The young man at the pub insisted that we share our credit card details with him orally, for him to input that into his billing system to charge a holding fee of $50. We offered to pay in any way other than compromising the security of our credit card. He said there was no other facility in place and couldn't collect payment from the bar register. He insisted that this was common practice across Australia and even challenged that he has travelled more than I have. And he threatened that he could refuse our booking.He relented and gave us the room key after my wife intervened and re-iterated potential credit card fraud in this method. There still are a few old-fashioned hotels in Australia that take a holding deposit. But they have a secure facility to accept and release payment, without having to compromise the security of a credit card.

The room was big and clean.

The location was not so great an the “backyard” could have needed a bit more love and attention

Great location, very convenient for meals athe pub itself and short walk to supermarkets and cafes. Clean room, well equipped for the price it was great. Pool looked good too so bring your bathers.

We stayed on a Friday night during school holidays and the neighbours were so Noisy. This doesn't reflect on the accommodation and can happen at any hotel, but just be aware it can be busy. This would not stop me booking again!

A great place to have a meal and sit out in the beer garden to watch the big screen.

Location is close to Newcastle Airport. Comfy beds, clean rooms that look like they have been recently renovated. Breakfast is not available at the hotel but there are cafes close by. The food at the hotel is tasty and well priced.

The hotel was convenient to our family in Medowie. The price was reasonable too. There were plenty of food options with the hotel and Chinese restaurant next door and MacDonalds nearby.

Noise from the hotel was a bit loud and parking was scarce close to our room. There was no microwave oven. The air conditioner was difficult to turn on.

Very convenient if travelling locally by car after arriving or departing the Newcastle area by plane. Very good hotel room in safe area. Parking was good too.Access to the facilities for dinning and refreshments were a bonus.

The air conditioner/heater unit outside the room was a tiny bit noisy but offset by the quick staff response to sort out the TV remote.

The location was good, close to Newy airport and the room was quiet. The meal at the Pub was very good value and good size portion.

Bathrooms could do with a freshen up and no shampoo etc.

My stay was good the location is great proximity to the airport and shopping facilities

Conveniently located. Restaurants and the pub right next door but not noisey for the most part.

Parking out front of your accom is limited but plenty of parking in the main area.

Grateful for being 10mins from NTL airport for early flight back to Melb.for my dgtr & chds today!Sadly, not a good look with the overflowing skip bins.Also an OHS issue with wildly swinging temporary fencing that came unhinged in the strong winds & rain! I did let the manager know. I ended up, with my teenage grandson's help, making it secure by moving orange plastic solid block & placing fence pole into it. Worked well!Double bed uncomfortable, but single beds fine.Enjoyed our dinner, thank you ?

The location was super convenient! Staff are very helpful and friendly! Super nice restaurant! We love all the food there!

The blanket are not very kids friendly. It's not properly fit in the cover sheet, kinda loose. So when kids sleep, they kick a lot, the blanket is easily got separate from the cover sheet, and it feels itchy.

Great location, Perfect access to Newcastle Airport for early flight. Clean, comfortable room.

Bit noisy late at night, but it was expected as rooms close to pub.. Not too bad though.

The location was close to the airport and very easy to access.

There was light that came into the bedroom throughout the night, making it hard to fall asleep.

Being located as part of a large pub/entertainment the venue was extremely noisy with loud punters walking by and around rooms.

The manager was amazing. They were really busy and he still took the time to help me with the WiFi.
