- All good, David checked us in and was very helpful and kind,
- Location and price is excellent. We were surprised at how we still had privacy despite being right in the pub garden
- Close to riverside walkway and had tasty meals on hand. Pet friendly which was great.
Cons -
- if there had been some entertainment but my fault I didnt check before booking !
- The rooms have paper thin walls, we expected a little noise from the pub (it was less than we expected) but between the rooms was very loud. We did have an adjoining locked door which may have made this worse but we could hear everything and I mean everything!
- Our room was not close to where the car could be parked as limited onsite parking ( about 5 cars) and used by hotel patrons. We had dog beds to carry as well as our own things as stayed a couple of nights. Found check in slow as the same staff serve at the bar and were busy.

The room was nicely decorated. Great location, easy walk to shops and cafes. Accommodation attached to a Pub with a restaurant.
Staff were not very friendly. No cloth, tea towel or washing up liquid. Very dirty toilet brush.
We only stayed one night on route to Qld. We arrived in a terrible storm in time for dinner. It was great to be able to order dinner from the bistro and take it to our room. We had our dog with us and the hotel was very accommodating to her needs.
The hotel was lovely, the rooms were clean, spacious and the beds and bedding were so comfortable! I went to the bar and asked for milk and was given fresh milk straight away - the staff were lovely. I was worried it would be noisy as right opposite the kids play area but it was quiet early and peaceful all night. highly recommend!
Room was a good size and it is located right opposite the river. Room has been updated well.
Too noisy! It was a Saturday night and to be expected had a band playing. However the rooms are very close to where the band plays. It was exceptionally loud inside the room and made it very hard to relax and hear our tv. They did though finish as they said at 10:30 pm. The walls/doors aren’t very thick as it’s an older building and so you can also hear the people in the next room. Would we come back probably not.
pets friendly, live music,friendly staffs
We have stayed a few times now, it's a great stopping point for our trip to Coffs. Its super convenient and my little one loves the park right outside the room.
It's getting a bit tired, the rooms definitely aren't as "fresh" as when we first started staying a couple of years ago. The blinds were broken making privacy a slight issue, had to do a bit of DIY with some paper to afford privacy. Also find the bistro food a bit overpriced and hit & miss.
Right on the water, amazing dining area with indoor outdoor seating, playground for the kids. Great area for our dog.
A little difficult to take out luggage from the car to the unit, had to walk through the eating are outside.
Right across from the water, so picturesque, the menu was filled retry good, some of the best seafood right down the road, an incredible French country cafe a few doors up that was so delightful and charming and actually delicious, a ferry ride right across the street where dolphins swim alongside you the accommodation is cute and recently revamped with a nautical theme, playground on site and overall very kid friendly.
The music was very very loud on a Saturday night, though it is a pub so it was to be expected and was completely quiet by 10ish. The midges at the playground are intense at dusk so be mindful of that! But truly, it was so lovely. We had such a great time as loved the spot so much. Our kid wanted to stay!
Location is excellent on the Myall River, room was very clean and comfortable however is adjacent to main road and sometimes a little noisy. Staff are excellent, helpful courteous and pleasant. Food from the bistro for dinner was first rate pub style meals, good quality and ample portions.
Soundproofing between rooms could be improved but otherwise everything else was very good.
Excellent location nice comfy room fabulous meal& friendly staff.
Bed a bit soft noisy bed head
We can stay with our dogs and either eat there or walk to a cafe or restaurant
Some people were quite pushy for our table when we were in the only dry table outside so we left and ate elsewhere And the 2nd nite we stayed we hoped to order pizza but they were shut quite early
Being out the back of a pub means everything you need is right there. Food, drinks, playground.Parking very close.Right on the water, little bakery with decent coffee just around the corner.
The downside to being out the back of a pub, is its noisy until the evening winds down. So bear that in mind. After that, completely quiet.
Location was great, bed was comfortable and the food very good.
The place is a little tired & could do with some TLC, the reason i marked down on comfort was purely to do with the road noise, which could be cured with some new double glazing, also the rooms need proper curtains to cut out the morning light & to give adequate privacy, the blinds only just aren’t good enough….
The room had been freshly painted and the tiny bathroom had been renovated. It was simply decorated but functional and the bed was ok!
There could have been more in the way of room facilities, eg, a little cutlery and crockery so that one could have breakfast in the room, or even make tea!
Cute and simple room design. The air conditioning worked perfectly. It’s great that the hotel is dog-friendly. The shower has everything you need except a hairdryer. Lovely location by the river. The bar serves excellent pizza. There are cozy places nearby for breakfast.
Unfortunately, the room was not very clean. There was a strange perfume-like smell in the fridge. Checking in was quite confusing, and it was difficult to navigate the space upon arrival. It’s very convenient that the hotel has a bar, but it was quite noisy until 11 PM. Soundproofing is poor.
Overall the hoteIs a great place to stay by Myall Lake and easy access by ferry to other ports. Right by a lovely walkway for dog waking and cafe boathouse for delicious food from breakfast to dinner. Don’t miss the fresh seafood shop along the way as well. Great spot .
Beds are very small and could be better quality for couples. Noisy traffic on road. Better windows would fix this.
Accommodation room was very clean and value for money
Having the room adjoining the beer garden as there was live music playing so it was very noisy next to the bistro you had all the noise until closing time.
