Very welcoming. Quiet spot
The manager was a character.
We could not get wifi in our room at all.
We arrived late and left early, communication for our check in check out was easy and clear

The flush and internet was not working. Didn't mind internet but flush not working wasn't acceptable.

Big and clean room
Unfortunately the English of the owners is very poor.Bathroom was very old. Quite expensive for only a motel.
We booked two rooms for our stay.. one for our daughter and grandkids and one for us. The daughter's room was good BUT our room was terrible (room number17). Room 17 isn't even on the room fire evacuation hotel map. It seems to be a storage room connected to the kitchen and converted into a last-minute make money accommodation room for late arrival travelers. It also had a terrible smell (wastewater drains). We've stayed in this hotel a few times in the standard rooms and never had a issue but this time it was gross. Room 17 isn't up to standards. We spoke to the onsite manager/owner and couldn't change rooms as we arrived late and he said he'd given our booked room to another traveler even thought we had advised him of our arrival times.
The room number 17 should not be used for accommodation.
Closeness to Harrington.
Very basic unattractive looking rooms. Very small family room. Basic bed comfort and utilities just okay. Overall entire Motel, including outside sign, needs remodelling and room comfort made a priority.
Heaps of cobweb under beds with spiders all around rooms. Alot if mosquitos. Owner dies want us to keep kitchen door close and thinks it's not welcoming for other guests. I explained that I closed door sue to mosquitos but he opened them back.
Cleaning and hygiene
Clean comfortable and value for money.
I needed a room for the night at late notice on my journey north, and knew I’d need to check in very late (after midnight). I called and Andrew was incredibly helpful and made arrangements to accommodate my very late check in. Room was very clean, comfortable bed.
The price was good and you expect an impact on the quality of stay as a result. Shower was hot and powerful but the shower tray needed a good scrub. The proximity to the A1 was the reason we chose this motel and if you just want a good night’s sleep it is adequate. Also close to the Coopernook Hotel which served nice pub grub.
The bed was comfortable to sleep in but it was impossible to sit up and lean against the headboard as the bed moved away. Very annoying!
Very conveniently located on my way back to the Northern Rivers from Sydney. The room was comfortable and the wifi worked.A good, cheap stopover option.
NA
Just off the hwy this old style motel, was a pleasant surprise. Clean comfortable and in a very small country town.
off the main road, yet close to continuing journey
basic accessories - kitchen/bathroom just outdated or just provided simple accessories
Easy spot to get to, just off the highway. We were travelling through and were so glad to have a cheap and clean place to rest for the night before heading further north. We booked while we were driving and called to make sure the late, last minute check-in wouldn't be an issue. Andrew was super helpful and was there to get us in when we arrived 45 minutes later. Parking was available in front of our room. Air con worked a treat. The only downside for some would be the lack of WiFi and bad phone reception combo. We would stay again!
Staff very friendly, room clean and comfortable, fair pricing, easy to find, grounds tidy and maintained
No traffic noise.
I could hear a constant drip from somewhere. Was unable to locate where the drip was. Very annoying when trying to sleep.
Good bed linen and good location
Only 1 each very thin pillow. Soap dispensers did not work, no tissues, mould in shower, bathroom not very clean. Power in room went out suddenly at 8pm whilst watching cricket!!
Price was good, room was clean, the manager was lovely and very helpful.
No under cover parking for car if it was to storm.
