Pros +
- Enjoyed the location of the hotel and the breakfast.
- Beautifully renovated with lots of charm. Lovely large room with good Airconditioning.
- Our room which opened onto the first floor verandah was well equipped and comfortable. There were comfortable arm chairs provided. The bathroom was spacious and had a full sized bath. The hotel is in a good central location.
Cons -
- Lack of secure parking and the lack of a bar/dinning room.
- The price was a little high in my opinion. There was no parking provided so the car was left in the street with a time limit.
- Doesn’t have car park and have to pay separately

Quite and clean

Breakfast was continental but good variety. Lovely dining room to have breakfast in.
Liked it all especially the way the property has been restored and is kept.
The location was great... the decor was well chosen and the use of space was excellent. The Hotel has a great feel to it and was a pleasure to stay in.
If I had to say something out works be the view, not so good but not that important
Location and balcony access
Carpet bit dirty, smokers you could smell
If you like to travel back in time this hotel is a good pick. Clean, comfy bed, good local.
I wish the dining room and lounge was still open, it would be magic.
Comfortable room in the centre of town, close to shops, cafes and pubs but still quiet. Nice heritage building. The bathroom was huge.
Location was perfect
Breakfast was serve yourself at $15 pp and comprised of two slices of gladwrapped bread or raisin toast or cereals. Way too expensive for the offerings.Car parking was either on the street restricted by a 4 hour time limit across the road, or paid parking next door at $20 per night where we had to fight for a spot around the workmans' vans working on the building on the corner
Well located in the centre of town, comfortable bed and great bath.
Don’t bother with the “secure parking” - it doesn’t get locked at night!
Location and art deco architecture
Carpet was very old and dirty
Old world charm. The rooms and surroundings were very clean. Helpful staff. Continental breakfast was $15, more than adequate, cereals, toast, juice, yoghurt, fruit, tea and coffee. Beds were clean and comfortable.
No lift. But I managed.
Very nice room, clean and tidy. Good location
The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the shower was hot.
It was very dark, being an inside room, with a very small window that looked out onto a roof and another window that was quite close, which we weren't expecting given the cost.
Great service. Clean room. Loved the balcony with comfy chairs
This is my third trip to Broken Hill and my third stay at the Royal Exchange. It is a beautiful place with well preserved art deco features. Staff are always super helpful. It is clean comfortable and well located.
We had a comfortable and pleasant stay in this old fashioned hotel in the centre of broken hill.
Location
Very small room, had to plug kettle in using socket in bathroom. Bar area shut and hotel felt closed up. Checkout receptionist curt and unfriendly.
Great location. Hotel has so much character. Relaxed, friendly staff.
