Desert Sand Motor Inn

Good sized room and bathroom. Comfortable bed..

Facilities could be improved. The plates, glasses and mugs were of mixed sizes and in short supply. Bar fridge could do with defrosting.

Flexible and helpful staff. Helped with local information and advice. Rooms were stocked with coffee, plates and cutlery.

Quiet and comfortable for the price.

Air con struggled in the heat to cool the room

Easy check in, reception staff friendly. All facilities in room were there, fridge, jug, microwave, toaster etc

No internet connection when trying to use wifi. Also there was a device with a blue flashing light on the stand next to the bed and the device was not allowed to be touched or unplugged or there was a $100 payment incurred. It flashed all day and all night. Difficult to sleep.

Disappointing

TV reception was terrible. Couldn't hold a stable picture for more than a few seconds - very pixellated.

Nice and neat facilities and room.Staff were helpful when our check-in time was delayed and we were only able to arrive quite late at night.Beds were comfortable.Loved that it was pet friendly.

The second bedroom with the three single beds did not really get any of the cold air from the split system air conditioner and was quite warm bordering on uncomfortable to sleep in.

I like that the room was dog friendly. The room was reasonably clean. It had plates, cutlery, kettle and microwave. Walking distance to Broken Hill Pub. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was poorly maintained. The towel rail had been removed from the bathroom leaving the wall plugs. There were stains on the carpet. The wifi did not work. The air conditioner was very noisy. We were asked to park quite a distance from our room and someone else was parked outside it. The pool area was not maintained and the pool had a lot of dirt in it. No shade sail over pool. No fan in bathroom and did not feel safe with bathroom window open as it had no security screen and opened onto a dodgy area. The windows were very dirty. There was one very dirty chair and table outside the room and one very wobbly/dangerous chair in the room so nowhere for 2 people to sit other than on the bed. Shower curtain not glass screen. The pictures are definitely not a true representation of the pet friendly room or the pool as pictured on booking.com.

Location

First room air con not working in 46 degree heat, mosh mash of crockery and definitely not four star

Well positioned, value for money, friendly staff.

Lovely room good size aircon coped well with the heat and comfy bathroom

Quality of room and the friendly staff

More shade over the pool area

Pet friendly and very clean great staff to deal with

Room was big enough for a family with modern conveniences, bathroom was very good with toiletries provided, the hosts were very helpful about late check in and had arranged a key for pool access as well

The air conditioning didn't go through to the second room despite the door being open

Located within walking distance to main street. Clean and tidy and quiet.

There is nothing I didn't like.

Close proxomity to all facilities in Broken HillReception very helpful and friendlyAir conditioner top notch (outside temps in the 40s)

Internet was very inconsistent, often going off line.I have stayed at the premises prior and never had this issue so may well be the fact of the extreme weather, certainly worked alot better in the later hours of the night

Close to town

Bed had springs poking through No bathroom mirror

Pool and where the motel was close to town

Floors could have been cleaner fridge had no racks on the doors

Quiet, clean comfortable room. Short walk to the pubs on the main street.

Comfortable room for a one night stay on way north.Clean and fresh bathroom

Clean convenient and close to where we wanted to be
