Broken Hill Tourist Park

Great location, very clean with good facilities.

Disappointing

No kitchen tongs, or frypan for the stove. There's an electric frypan but can't use it under the rangehood. The dishes were dirty so we had to wash them before use. Floor was sticky. Pillows were uncomfortably thin. So I don't think the cabin is checked properly compared to cabins that we've stayed at before

Easy access, well equipped cabin, comfy beds, good shower.

A bit out of town, but not a problem

There was no hot water so I had a cold shower before I went to bed. I checked the gas next morning and found both bottles turned off. I called the park after I returned home to report this and was told that there was a leak and a plumber had been called. They apologised and claimed they were unaware of this when they allocated me the cabin. If this was true then why were both bottles turned off? Either their claim was untrue or there was some very poor communication. Either way I should not have been allocated that cabin.

Location

Tap not fixed to sink properly. Air-conditioning waaaay too noisy Staff didn't seem all too keen in assisting me with an issue.Room was way too small compared to many other simarly priced parks.

OK for the price, but...

Cabin was right next to the main highway, with loud interstate trucks passing all night. Only a chain link fence, that does keep noise down.Dangerous hump to step over into bathroom. Could do with a small bedside lamp, as it's either main room light or nothing.

Good facilities...laundry, parking, BBQ, children's areas. Staff were helpful.

Close by as we entered BH from Adelaide. Easy bookin, comfortable, and we loved having a bedroom separated from living quarters and a great size TV. Ashes was on!

Nothing really.

Passable

Rooms very old. Shower curtain sticks to you when showering which is yuck! Small air con in the living area which didn’t reach the bedrooms. So very very hot in the rooms. No ceiling fans either. Otherwise ok for a quick overnight stop.

Proximity to town

Took almost half an hour to check in. I made it through booking. Com and they couldn't find it Tired facilities. Car parking difficult.

Helpfulness and friendliness of the staff.

The cabin was a bit rough even though it was a deluxe room.

Good parking for car and trailer. Friendly and helpful staff.

We paid a moderate amount for moderate accommodation. We'll upgrade next time we're passing through.

Had a lovely stay, being able to cook a BBQ by the pool and have family visit us as the kids played on the jumping pillow, playground & had a swim was fantastic.

Very welcoming and courteous person at Reception - so important. Park was quiet, spacious. Cabin OK, basic, comfortable but a bit worn - quiet and dark for good sleep, bed comfy, clean so all ok, easy drive to town.

Cabin a bit worn.Taking credit card imprint when already paid in full, have not had to do for any other basic accommodation like this - this is a security and privacy issue.

The staff were so welcoming and accommodating me with a cabin with easy parking. John especially was very helpful.
