Great location. Lovely touches. Beds so comfortable. Very cosy
Was quite chilly until fire roaring
A beautiful period, cosy cottage with lots of individual touches left by the host. A warm log fire, electric blankets and warm bedding kept us warm despite it being winter. It was a really fantastic place to stay and the cottage had all the luxuries and comforts you’d expect.
The cottage was cute and comfy, very well decorated, comfy bed and a welcoming atmosphere. Great location and easy walk to coffee and pub.
We visited midwinter, so it was cold. We found we needed both the kitchen air conditioner on, plus the log fire in the lounge ,so that it was comfy in the lounge. This was fine as long as you were staying in for the remainder of the day once the open fire was alight. Only a minor inconvenience compared to everything else which was great.
Charming cottage, with lovely traditional details. Lydia thought of everything to make our stay comfy and relaxing - all the little treats were much appreciated. Great location, very close to the Rail Trail.
Cosy olde world idyllic. Excellent amenities. Lovely furnishings, drapery, linen & manchester. Generous continental breakfast supplies. Added sweet treats appreciated. Located in quite street only a few min. walk to main street. Lovely cafes & speciality food stores line the street. Short drive to other Barossa townships & multitude of wineries.
A little dark in lounge room.
Location to town and the wineries was great. The cottage had everything we needed to relax after a long day (bath, Netflix, comfy bed) and then some little goodies to treat us (bikkies, port, chocolate).
Walnut Cottage is an absolute delight. Lydia has provided the perfect place to stay and has thought of everything that you could possibly need. The added little treats and special touches were very welcome and so thoughtful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. We loved our three nights in the cottage, which is in a perfect location to explore the Barossa Valley and visit the many wonderful small family owned wineries. We cannot fault our stay….just perfect.
The character of the Cottage was lovely and it was quite comfortable. Great breakfast provisions and tasty snacks. We could walk into Angaston main street.
Entry points for driveway and front path were very uneven and a bit unsafe.
Old world charm of the property suited our taste.Good selection of breakfast items provided which is good when you arrive with little time to shop. The property location was not to bad for what we were in the area for - Barossa, let me think - wineries, but had to drive to them as non walkable.
As mentioned above - no wineries within walking distance but otherwise no problems
The cottage was very well equipped and was in an excellent location, walking distance to the shops and close to the cycle path.
Everything was excellent!
Breakfast included, what a lovely thought! We absolutely loved how cute and quaint the cottage was. The bathroom is enormous and fabulous and we can't wait to come and stay again.
Everything was perfect
Well equipped with authentic details. A great shower and in front of the cottage a nice veranda. We were treated with a lot of local sweets...so delicious!!
