Clare Country Club

Not happy that my card payment for the booking was directed to an international company which incurred an international transfer fee while Clare is only a 150 kms from where I live.

All staff were lovely - very friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable, nicely furnished with modern bathroom (and bath). The bar area was comfortable, nice to sit for an evening drink and a chat. Free wine tasting in the bar area was on while we were there, which was nice. We hired e-bikes from the country club and spent the day exploring the wineries on the Riesling Trail, which is highly recommended. The weather was very hot while we were there, so it was nice to have access to the pool and the air conditioning in our room was great!

The Clare Country Club apartment we had was recently renovated and very suitable for our two night stay with friends. It was exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff member who checked us in was extremely helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

We would suggest mirrors in each bedroom especially when there is only one bathroom. Also given how hot summer can be in South Australia, the E-bikes should be able to be borrowed early in the morning to avoid the heat. We attempted to do that but the breakfast staff said they were unable to assist us with our request and could not provide authorization. Just some basic feedback/suggestions - our stay was otherwise very nice.

Loved the complimentary wine, water and chips when we arrived to our room! It’s really appreciated, as these thoughtful touches are becoming rare in hospitality nowadays. The staff were also lovely and very helpful. We enjoyed the pool, bar, restaurant and all the spaces available to relax and hang out for a truly relaxing weekend. The bath and shower were also a highlight!

We were looking forward to using the sauna, unfortunately is was out of service... this didn't affect our overall experience though!

The bin was tiny and rubbish wouldn’t fit and the bugs were annoying but luckily bug spray was located in the room.

we had booked an accessible room. However, although our apartment was large, there were no access facilities for my husband who uses a wheelchair/walker. We would also have appreciated a minibar, salt and pepper.

The room was clean and comfortable We were able to set the climate control to match the weather conditions

This was well priced, clean accommodation. We had our breakfast included and this was good before heading out for the day. The complex was very quiet and the room had been recently renovated. The staff were very helpful and did their best. The gardens were well maintained and really pretty to look out at from the restaurant. Its an easy walk to the Clare Valley Golf course next door.

It would be handy if the restaurant was open a bit more often. The laundry in the complex was a bit run down.It would be helpful if there was a folder with a bit more information for restaurants, wineries and other area attractions in the rooms.

At night there was a pump at the back of my room so I needed to put in earplugs- later in the night it has switched off so all good.

The room was great, renovated beautifully and very clean. Lovely wines available at the bar and good customer service. Very quiet and great parklands to walk around on the adjacent property.

Breakfast very basic. All processed packaged cereals. Small selection of fresh fruit. Scrambled eggs were good. Coffee terrible?The evening meals were excellent.

They need a barista! A fresh meusli would have been good.

front desk was able to upgrade our room to be next to our friends which was great service and unexpected.

the dam was empty and the outlook from the room was not as nice as it could have been. the golf course is not connected to the resort so NO discount on a game of golf which was disapointing.

we were welcomed by a friendly male staff member. But the female manager of the bar/dining area was rather rude and non-communicative. The male staff member was helping out a bit in the lounge area and he was much more personable to deal with.
