Clare Valley Motel

Everything was very exceptional. The property was well maintained, it was very close to the shops located in the Clare Valley. I do not know if they had a reataurant, we were out most of the time.

The only comment I could say, is that our room was not made up on a daily basis. There was only the 2 of us so it was ok.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Check in was easy and the host was helpful. It is in a very quiet location. There are also plenty of chargers for electric cars. Tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge were available.

The Clare Valley Motel is located about a 20-minute walk from the Clare town Centre, so not close if you want to eat out or visit any of the wineries. The room we stayed in was quite dated and it was evident that some basic maintenance hadn't been done. There was a strong air freshener smell when we arrived which was quite overpowering, and I wondered what it may have been masking. The room was also very cold, as we stayed in August. There was a heater, but the remote wasn't working, and we couldn't leave it on overnight as it was very noisy. It is very basic accommodation, but OK for 1 night.

Easy to find and proximity to town.

Bathroom had towel under toilet because of leak, fan would not switch off, soap holder in shower hanging off wall with no soap dispenser in it. TV was old school and not positioned for easy viewing.

The motel's location in Clare is right along the route I needed to travel north.

The room was not as nice as I remember from past years. The wing of the motel did not seem to have been occupied recently. Pipes made a lot of noise when the water ran. The dining room was not open for dinner the night I was there.

Good bed and close to town for pubs and cafes.

Broken air conditioner. Broken shower head. Bed side lamps not working. Very impersonal booking. Unable to talk to anyone by phone or in person

The rooms where clean and presentable, the bathroom large and fresh.

Not sure what the neighbours where doing all hours of the night, I think they where building a house inside of their room.

Convenience to Riesling trail

Description of where to hire bikes and access trail. All automated, not a single employee or owner on site.

Some great renovations have been done, great location easy walking distance from town and Riesling Trail. Great facilities, well stocked bar, BBQ

No dinner plates in the room, a chopping board and knife would be useful too. Pretty hard to wash dishes in the bathroom basinOur room was not serviced once during our stay

We really appreciated being able to book a pet friendly room as we like travelling with our dog. We also appreciated the grounds around the rooms as a great place to walk the dog. Communication was excellent and the automatic check in was easy to deal with. Thank you.

We always travel with dog towels but to have an old towel for pet use only available would be useful. Thank you.

First up the property has a great salt water swimming pool. Much appreciated. The motel room was good and the location of the property relative to Clare excellent.

No personal interaction, no staff, all computerised. Out of 17 accommodation properties on this trip, this is the only one without staff. You did ask.

Owners were very friendly and helpful. Booked a fabulous Indian restaurant in Clare for us.

If you had kids the pool would be good … in summer !

Almost everything Shower head was broken … needs a good clean .. paint redecorate .. new beds .. linen, towels were thread bare … Room was chilly but old air con was working We woke to noise next door at 8 am am over Easter .. the cleaner was clearing next room The whole experience felt grim … as the price was 200 per night !

Location, quiet, set back from road. Spacious accommodation on large property.

Lack of hospitality. Check in via ATM for want of a better description. No welcome, no personal contact, no availability or access to local information/ brochures. Shower rose broken, guessing a soap rack was missing but a sharp mounting bracket was left fixed to shower wall right at elbow height. Although room was large only a pocky little kitchenette area. The office was not open as advertised.

Everything worked as expected, it was clear and simple.The rooms are good value, the bed is comfortable, a good hideaway or retreat.I have no hesitation in recommending this motel to others. I hope to return in the future.Thank you for your hospitality and warm welcome. ?‍♀️ ?‍♀️ ?

I did not have breakfast on the property.It was too early for breakfast, so I had a coffee with a little milk & Stevie. (A natural Stevia - a plant that a friend grows in her garden.)I had some noodles ? but not too much as it was still dark & a little bit of beef broth.I used a container I bought yesterday from Utopia in the Northcote (NT). The shop had an excellent sale table full of items that were good value.I bought some bags, t-shirts, coasters and gifts for my nieces and nephews in Croatia ?? ☺️ ? They live on the beautiful Dalmatian Coast, in between Split & Šibenik.

I thought I saw a sign for a restaurant but could not find it.This was not an issue as there were drinks at reception & excellent Indian curries and snacks at the service station just down from the motel.

Very little, rooms were small, old fashioned, no service from staff, wifi didn’t work.

Best swimming pool ever! Motel is perched on a hill near the centre of Clare close to wineries and amenities. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Feels more like a resort with the huge pool, out door entertainment and living areas! Will stay there again.

Booked 3 rooms. They were able to accommodate our needs. Had everything we needed. Kids lived the pool and playground.
