    Pros +

    • The whole Location in the Country, the silence, the Kangaroo around...
    • Very well run typical German establishment Dinner is the STAR HIGHLITEEXPENSIVE worth every cent Waiting staff exceptional
    • Wonderful location. Site provides many different locations to stroll, and to sit and just enjoy the surrounds. Wonderful food. Was a real treat as part of our travel. Worth the cost :)

    Cons -

    • Would've been nice if the room was just a little larger, but this was not a showstopper :)
    • There was not a fry pan to use to cook with there was a wok.
    • The lounge was uncomfortable, but easily remedied with a few back cushions. Breakfast fruit would have been better served as a fresh fruit salad. Coffee machine was good but needed milk refilled more regularly. Juices were nice. Scrambled eggs okay but bacon needed to be crispier. However, we still enjoyed breakfast!

I absolutely loved the food, the staff were very friendly and helpful, seeing the gorgeous wrens was so gorgeous, plus so many, absolutely loved the quiet space and the room was really well situated. next time we will stay in unit 12 for the bath.

There was not a fry pan to use to cook with there was a wok.

The beds were so very comfortable and the water pressure and temperature was simply perfect. Loved how the breakfast cereals were in sealed containers and all was very hygenic. Great to have crumpets included too. Loved the kangaroos visiting our chalet. Under cover parking next to our chalet was great. Great being supplied with an umbrella and information about the area. Our chalet was at the end so it was very quiet. Good television channels and easily able to use our own Netflex. Very good place to stay and we will do it again!

We were travelling as a group of 4. The place is so lovely with beautiful country views. I would have loved to stay an extra night. The accommodation was stylish and comfortable. It felt like we were in a tall cottage. It was really lovely. We had kangaroos in our front garden area at night and again round the back the following morning. It made the stay magical for us. The staff are so very friendly and helpful. We had the hot breakfast the following morning and it was lovely. I would totally recommend this place and would love to stay again.

The location, the gardens, the kangaroos

Chefingo's - too much salt on the food - overrated, overpriced

I had the opportunity to return to Forest Lodge, having visited on a short term work contract over 19 months ago. It was perfect then, and all this time later, the same can be said. They pay attention to detail, things were not looking tired, because they keep on top of what maintenance and good branding looks like. Thanks. Laraine

The staff in the bar area were excellent. Will was extremely pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant provided excellent food.

The room was very dark and the bathroom shower over the bath was a very poor design in that after the shower curtain was pulled across water went on to the ledge and on to the floor. It requires updating.

The accommodation is set in an oasis. The grounds are beautiful and well tended. Our accommodation was well equipped and very comfortable. Personally I found the pillows very uncomfortable but I appreciate it's a personal thing. The room had lots of extras such as wine, chocolate, snacks for an additional charge. It wasn't the largest accommodation we've stayed in but it was fine for one night. We paid extra for the full breakfast which was a great start to the day.The restaurant setting had a beautiful view across the lake. There were quite a few kangaroos enjoying the grounds too.A beautiful setting.

The pillows needed a bit of bounce.

Location felt secluded and relaxing. The wildlife was great to photograph and the night sky Milky Way was great to photograph there too.

The rooms are very dated and the blinds don’t close properly allowing a lot of light into the room. I need it to be dark in order to sleep. Pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable so lucky we took our own pillows just in case.

We absolutely loved our dinner which we had at the restaurant, the food was delicious, service was great and the setting was really lovely. Pemberton needs more hospitality venues like this that provide visitors a real dining experience. As a place to stay we really liked how close to town it was however being on such a large block it was very pretty and we loved the walk around the lake to the Gloucester Tree.

The rooms are a little old, it looks like they are being updated but could not fault them at all.

Good location. The park is really nice, with kangaroo encounters, lots of beautiful birds, and a playground for the kids. The cottage is very simple but comfortable enough for a short stay.

Breakfast is too expensive for the food provided. Not enough kitchen utensils to really cook with, just the bare minimum.

    9AvrilPosted on: 3-4-2025

Liked this place, big room with kitchen, veranda sitting area, great shower. Loved seeing the kangaroos wandering around in the evening time.

The meal in restaurant was not what we ordered and very expensive

    Nothing really.

    Great location

Very strict refund policy we only stayed one night out of the two because of change of plans. But because of the no refund policy could not get refund.
