Its out of Auckland, grand location by the beach and river for walks,swimming and surf casting, sauna and spa in camp as we¿ll enjoyed my staff there

No all was good for a motor camp

I like that it's a quiet place with 3 small playgrounds in different locations for the kids plus a large one down the road by the beach. The staff are amazing, very helpful. It has a games room and the spa is awesome.

Could today up the mini golf a bit and they need to replace tramp otherwise wouldn't change anything

The staff were fantastic! Went above and beyond to be helpful. The units were comfortable and the camp kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and spacious. Great BBQ area.

The internet wasn't very good. Every other place we stayed at during our 3 1/2 week trip around NZ had free unlimited wifi.

The campground it's self is nice,a little tired in places,the showers? are hot /free & cleaned regularly, good pressure and hot,location was okay,local store only does takeaways till 6pm if you need them for dinner on your 1st night there and don't forget fly spray for wasps etc.

Please ensure you check with the office exactly what it is you are booking and that it's even available,the photos on the site we felt weren't current. The total muck around on our arrival and our room apparently being already rented to someone else and while the staff did show us other options....it wasn't what we had booked and already paid for online,The cabin/caravan we ended up in had been removed from the rental pool that morning apparently because previous guests had damaged it,however we found rot in ceiling, parts of the floors and mice droppings in the draws under the bed,left over rubbish from a previous guest under kitchen sink in the caravan part of the cabin and when it rained that night we had water running down the wall fairly close to power sockets.We were finally able to relocate to the actual room we pre booked & paid for on night 2 ,however due to wasps etc on an adjacent building and inadequate bed's etc ,we had another family that actually also prepaid drive hm because he was so annoyed at being ripped off. We prepaid through booking agency so we weren't able to get a refund easily and had driven a fair distance for a short family break or so we thought. (Don't forget your insect spray/epi pen if you need them) at the time we were there they had issues with wasps on the exterior of multiple buildings and as nice as some of the staff were it doesn't help if you have family that get stings etc and you can't get a refund.

Location is stunning. The creek and swimming holes are exceptional. Facilities are very good (shared toilets and showers).The wood ducks are too cute and way friendly!Will go back for sure.

Hot Showers too short, but understandable when trying to conserve water.Cabins need a fan. Also need a sliding fly screen door.That would make them just that little bit comfier...

It had everything we needed for camping and more. Kids activities made it a relaxed holiday for us as we didn't have to drive kids anywhere. They enjoyed the swimming hole. They made good friends as well.

Location was good , took the Boys Fishing and had some catch so all went well . The Showers were good , the best time to Shower is between 4 and 5pm. The Caravan was excellent , plenty of room for the 4 of us.

Its a little bit too far from the Beach and the fresh water swimming area is very cold.

Handy for a lot of things like beach water hole, kitchen amenities, barbecue area, the different options for accommodation

Good facilities and with playground, mini-golf, safe swimming hole. We stayed in U2, the self contained cabin. It was very clean and comfortable.

Super lovely hosts - very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cosy cabin. Beautiful relaxing place. Loved it:-)

Wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to be back again soon!

The self contained unit, family kitchen, friendly people ?

Bed topper looked a little dirty so used our own blanket. No drop box for keys so left in unit on table. No extra towel for another day. $5 each for visitors that only called in for quick visit before heading to the beach.

I liked how clean the facilities were especially the showers and kitchen. Our bedroom was kitted with bedding so fresh soft and clean it was the best. the wifi speed was top notch an the staff where so friendly

I didn't like how it was 15$ pp for 40 mins in the spa or sauna

Love how spacious our deluxe unit was and the cleanliness was spotless! Love the amount of utensils that are provided and aircon was top tier.

Everything was great still a 10/10 stay however our shower didn’t have a shower curtain so we had to use our towels on floor to dry it.

Excellent holiday park, very clean and tidy. Welcoming and helpful hosts. Plenty of hot showers, conveniently located amenities, affordable laundry. Sauna was brilliant! We were there on a weekday, so not many people, hence nice and quiet. We did hear sheep at night (not a nuisance, closing cabin doors muffled the sound), which was hilarious.

Basic cabin but adequate enough for us, complete with a fridge. There is a shared kitchen containing a fridge freezer, microwave and electric hob to use. Laundry facilities at a cost. There is a shop at the top of the drive that sells the basics. Interesting holiday park.

No negatives

The site managers, Sunni and her husband Ben were very friendly and most helpful - Sunni even going to the trouble of cooking me a light supper when I arrived late, without food and had missed the local store opening times. This was very kind of her and was much appreciated by this hungry traveller !!The cabin accommodation was simple, but was very clean and the bed was comfortable

The shared shower and toilet blocks were dated - but again very clean, so no complaints really
