Even though there was a booking mix up ( not their fault) the manager sorted everything out very professionally

The staff where welcoming and when I requested a last minute change to my booking they were able to accommodate it. Room and facility was beautiful and clean, the view from our room was beautiful and the location was very good, in the town area and near some of the attractions and activities. Great for those traveling with families.

Nice, polite staff. Excellent location on the front. Walk into town to restaurants and bars. Easy access to the passenger ferry to Russel. Room adequately furnished

The major problem was their internet. It was a complete and utter disaster!! They initially claimed that they were having an unusual prolem and they were working on it. But as time passed it became clear this was untrue. The disgnostics clearly pointed to an inadequate server system to cater for volumes required by a large enterprise like this. They finally resorted to giving us and others a pre-printed docket with a number to call in order to get help. When it was pointed out they should be doing this themselves there was no sensible response. Before we left, a friend of ours who knew somebody who had worked at the hotel confirmed that they had always had problems with their internet and relied upon people "giving up" and using their own mobiles. As an international visitor that option was not available to us so we had to suffer accordingly. We will never return unless we can be certain they had installed a new upgraded internet system. Great shame as otherwise the hotel did a great job in a great location.

Couldn't have had a better location. On the waterfront and just a few minutes walk to Paihia's sites. Parking was at the door .The room was nice and the beds comfortable. And the staff was helpful.

I'd have liked a microwave in the room, that would have been a super amenity. But I knew what I'd ordered so no complaints.

Room was large and bed was comfortable.

Television was tiny.

Everything about the stay was amazing apart from the weather but we a wonderful weekend not much entertainment for the weekend,food was great at the.hotel but expensive at other places will come back again

We had room 401 spposit the sea a very quiet room and cozy we slept well and enjoyed all the facilities

there was roadworks at the time in front of the room on the main road seawall

Pool was out of order,room was average for the cost. Jug was a fire hazard wouldn’t stop boiling had to play around with the tv cords to get it to work, beds didn’t get made while we were away.

The location, directly on the waterfront. Spectacular views over the bay towards Russell.My room 408, was great, spacious and clean . Lovely having a balcony.

The sofas were uncomfortable to sit on, as they were sofa beds.. need more cushions.Also the fridge was broken, as you couldn't put you drinks in the side of the door as brackets broken.

Perfect location. Central to restaurants, shops, and all recreational activities

Breakfast was good

No soundproofing in the rooms. People in other rooms were also vey annoying.

Location, location right on the Beach front, and close to village centre

One or more of the doors didn't have slam protection, consequently other guests were slamming doors

Rooms were clean and tidy.

Sadly the games room and pool area were out of commission due to weather events, I understand this is out of the control of Kingsgate however it was the main reason for us choosing this property. Lobby hallway and stairwells could have been cleaner. Rooms dont have cutlery, plates or other useful utensils.

Great location, near to the town center with plenty shops.

It was really noisy and you can hear loud banging from the people at the gym.

Location is Big! Walking distance to everything. Front view is awesome

Didn’t enjoy the narrow stairs or the uneven floors.
